Daming Lake, located in the northeast of Jinan city center and the north of the old city, is formed by the confluence of many springs in Jinan. The lake is 58 hectares, the park area is 103.4 hectares, the average water depth is about 2 meters, and the deepest point is 4.5 meters. It is a rare natural lake in a bustling city, one of the three famous scenic spots in Jinan (the place where I visited the emperor in summer in Princess Huanzhu) and an important scenic spot in Quancheng. Daming Lake, with beautiful scenery and clear water color, has famous scenic spots such as Lixia Pavilion, Tiegong Temple and Nanfeng Temple, and receives about 2 million domestic and foreign tourists every year. It is one of the core components of the world's 5A first spring scenic spot. Its famous scenic spots include Lixia Pavilion, Arctic Pavilion, Tiegong Temple and Chao Ran Tower.
Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, went to Jinan twice and had a banquet with calligrapher Li Yong in Li Xiating. He left a poem "There are many celebrities in Jinan and many pavilions in the sea". Tie Bao, a calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty, also left a famous sentence "Lotus on all sides and willow on three sides, Daming Lake is a mountain with half a city", which vividly showed the beauty of Daming Lake.
Longquan Lake is a natural lake, and Daming Lake comes from Pearl Spring, Mengying Spring, Furong Spring, Wangfuchi and other springs in the city. It is said that "Wanquan gathers", the water quality is clear, the sky is cloudy, and fish can be seen. Daming Lake is rich in water resources, with convenient drainage, and has the advantage of "constant rain does not rise, long drought does not dry up", and the water level remains unchanged all the year round. The average water depth is about two meters, the deepest is about four meters, and the shore is about one meter. "Lotus on four sides and willow on three sides, one city with mountains and half a city with lakes" is the best portrayal of Daming Lake scenery.
