5. Verses praising Suzhou
That year you set out in March
Walking out of Suzhou where all the heroes were wandering
Looking back at Suzhou, it was too small, as small as a jade pendant
As small as the emblem worn by an ancient cultural country
The west wall of Dongting under the moon is very beautiful
Borrowing Su Zi to be a boatman for a night trip
You just flick the pole
When you go up the water, you reach the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River
If you use the paddle a little longer
When you go down the water you reach the head of Shanghai Beach
The river in Sheung Shui is very winding
Moreover, it is said that it is as beautiful as a necklace of beads
The yellow crane flew away, but the chime remained the same
Boya played the piano on the piano platform< /p>
A song of high mountains and flowing water to find a close friend
The dragon flags hanging high in the scenery of Taihu Lake
Give the world dragon boats a soul
The beauty of Zhaojun Huanyi Sexiang Stream
The sound of pounding clothes flows with poetic charm
And the miracle of the high gorge emerging from the flat lake
Let the crazy men and women in Dongting
End of Tianya Road
The waterway is very charming
Moreover, it has the charm of Jiangnan
After passing one stone bridge, there is another stone bridge
< p> Sit in a hot tea house that doubles as a tavernThe stone streets in Jiangnan are full of charm
You can’t turn out after entering the setting sun
The willow branches in Jiangnan It is inexhaustible
Like the ivy-like arms of a girl from the south of the Yangtze River
Wrap your heart into that one
The flavor of the south of the Yangtze River with a short flute and a long flute
That year you set out in March
I gave you the beautiful Suzhou in March
and the beautiful Suzhou in March
< p> The twilight is very thick at the bridge of Taihu LakeYou said goodbye to me with a small poem bag on your back
I will never forget the way you turned around
When Su Zi came to Suzhou He was in a very depressed mood
Osmanthus opened his eyes
And you left so boldly
Let Taihu Lake drink like little water from now on
You said you never take an umbrella with you when traveling
Anyway, you have a lot of friends
They are dotted around
wherever you want to go< /p>
You will tell your friends about little Suzhou
Talk about a buddy named Suzhou
Then stand on the corner of the map and look at Suzhou
Little Suzhou is just a little bit of China
What I wrote is just a fragment of Chinese cultural history

1. "Wuqi Qu"
Tang Dynasty - Li Bai
Gusu Terrace When I went to Wuqi, Xi Shi was drunk in the palace of King Wu.
The dance of Wu Ge and Chu has not yet ended, and the green mountains are about to hold half of the sun.
The golden pot with silver arrows leaks a lot, and I can see the autumn moon falling into the river waves.
The east is getting higher and higher, what a joy!
Vernacular translation:
Just as the crows on the Gusu stage had just returned to their nests, the banquet with Xishi dancing drunkenly began in the King Wu's palace.
Before the Wu Ge and Chu dances at the banquet were finished, the sun had already set.
The water in the golden pot dripped all night long, and the banquet in King Wu’s palace was not over yet. King Wu stood up and looked at the autumn moon that was about to fall into the river waves.
The sky is getting brighter, but I still feel that my remaining joy has not been exhausted. Even if it is dawn, I am still happy!
2. Huangfu Ran of the Tang Dynasty "Send off the Sixteenth Emperor of Wei Dynasty to Suzhou"
Excerpt from the original text:
The autumn night is deep in the north, and the worms are everywhere. smell.
Returning to the boat tomorrow, we will pass by the mausoleum road. Looking back at Gusu, there are white clouds.
Definition:
As I send you home in the dark autumn night, the chirping of crickets is unbearable. Tomorrow you will take a boat back to Piling. By then, when you look back at Gusu, you will see only a white cloud.
3. "Passing Suzhou" by Su Shunqin of the Song Dynasty
Excerpt from the original text:
Going out of Panmen in the east, it is bright and clear, and the rain is drizzle and the sky is cloudy and sunny.
The green poplars and egrets are all content, and they are affectionate near the water and in the mountains far away.
The rise and fall of all things depends on God's will, and the ordinary people are lighthearted when they are restrained.
There is no chance to live in the endless beautiful scenery, so I can only travel in the evening.
Interpretation:
The scenery is particularly clear when leaving Panmen in the east, and a soft drizzle changes the cloudy and sunny weather. The green poplars are dotted with egrets, and they are all happy and joyful. The water nearby and the mountains in the distance are full of affection. All things in the world have their ups and downs, relying on God's will to be carried out. I sigh that I have experienced the sorrow of traveling, but I am looked down upon by ordinary people. It's a pity that we didn't have the opportunity to retain this infinite beauty. The passenger ship was still hurried away at dusk.
4. Du Xunhe of the Tang Dynasty, "Sending People to Wu"
Excerpt from the original text:
When I see you in Gusu, everyone is sleeping on the river.
The ancient palace has little free space and many waterports and small bridges.
The night market sells lotus root, and the spring boat carries Qiluo.
I know the moon is not sleeping in the distance, and my homesickness is in the fishing songs.
Definition:
When you go to Suzhou, you will see that the houses there are built near the river. The houses in Gusu City are connected and there is no open space; even the river branches are covered with small bridges. The night market is filled with the sound of lotus root being sold, and the boats in the river are loaded with exquisite silk fabrics. Thinking of you in the distance, hearing the fishermen's songs on the river during the moonlit night will definitely touch your homesickness.
5. "Gusu Nostalgia" by Jiang Kui of the Song Dynasty
Excerpt from the original text:
In the dark night, the clouds surround the teeth, and the stars in the river culvert sleep on the sand.
Pedestrians looked at Sutai Liu with regret, and once swept away the fallen flowers with King Wu.
Definition:
In the hazy night, clouds passed quickly by the ship. The clear river water flows quietly; the stars in the sky ripple in the water waves, shining brightly. The egret on the beach had already fallen asleep and made no sound.
I looked at Gusu Terrace silently, with a bit of melancholy: How many years of wind and frost have those misty willow trees experienced? It was it that used its thin, low-hanging strips to sweep the petals falling all over the ground for King Wu.
6. "Night Mooring at Maple Bridge/Night Mooring at Fengjiang River" by Zhang Ji of the Tang Dynasty
Excerpt from the original text:
The moon is setting, the crows are crying, the sky is full of frost, the river maples are Fishing fire versus melancholy.
At Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the midnight bell rang for the passenger ship.
Definition:
The moon has set, the crows are crows, and the sky is filled with cold air. I sleep sadly in front of the maple trees and fishing fires by the river. In the lonely and quiet Hanshan Ancient Temple outside Gusu City, the sound of ringing bells in the middle of the night reached the passenger ship.
Extended information:
The first two sentences of the poem "Wu Qi Qu" use a refined and connotative writing style to outline the Wu Palace on Gusu Terrace at sunset The outline of the figure and the drunken and hazy silhouette of the palace beauty Xi Shi make people vaguely feel the dark atmosphere shrouding the Wu Palace, and think of the declining trend of the Wu Kingdom at dusk.
And this kind of environment and atmosphere is in sharp contrast to the indulgent and enjoyable scene of "Drunken Xishi in King Wu's Palace", implying the meaning of extreme joy and sorrow. This layer of extraneous meaning runs through the whole article and is subtle and subtle.

Baidu Encyclopedia - "Wuqi Qu" 8. An ancient woman from Suzhou
Shen Shounu, first named Yunzhi, also named Xuejun, later named Shou, and later named Xue official. A native of Wu County. Born in an antique dealer's family in Suzhou. At the age of 7, he learned embroidery from his sister Shen Li. At the age of sixteen or seventeen, he was already famous in the local area. In the 16th year of Guangxu (1890), Tongli Embroidery School was founded in Suzhou. Married to Yu Jue in 19 years. Yu Neng is good at poetry and painting. The couple complement each other in painting and embroidery. Shen Shou began to study embroidery stitches and created nearly 10 new stitches. In the 29th year, Shen Shou absorbed the principles of light and shade in painting, focused on the verisimilitude of objects, expressed the three-dimensional sense of objects, and created the simulated embroidery method, which became the most basic and important form of expression of appreciative embroidery. In the 30th year of Guangxu's reign, Empress Dowager Cixi's 70th birthday, Shen Shou embroidered two longevity screens, "Eight Immortals Sending Their Longevity" and "Infinite Life Buddha", which were donated by Shangshu Sheng, a Suzhou native who worked in the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce. The Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce awarded the Double Dragon Star and other medals, and Shangshu Zaizhen approved the establishment of a women's embroidery engineering department. Yu Jue was appointed as Prime Minister and Shen Shou as chief instructor, specializing in cultivating embroidery talents. In November of that year, Shen first went to Japan to inspect the teaching of art schools. In January of the following year, he returned to China and established a school in Beijing with three courses: Chinese language, drawing, and embroidery.
In August, Fushou Embroidery Factory was established in Suzhou and closed the following year. Shen Shou absorbed the advantages of Japanese embroidery and Western painting, and used old methods with new ideas to make the embroidery more vivid, realistic and three-dimensional. The embroidered bust of Queen Victoria won the best prize at the World Expo. At the beginning of the second year of Xuantong's reign (1910), the Nanyang Business Encouragement Conference was held in Nanjing, and Shen Shou was ordered to review embroidery. After the Revolution of 1911, the Embroidery Engineering Department was closed. Yu and Shen went to Tianjin to establish an independent training center for women workers, which ran for three years. In the 3rd year of the Republic of China (1914), at the invitation of Zhang Chun, Shen Shou served as the director of the Nantong Female Workers' Training Institute and continued to teach embroidery skills. The embroidered portraits of the Italian emperor and empress caused a sensation in the Italian court and won another gold medal at the Pacific International Panama Exposition. In the 6th year, Shen Shou became ill and Zhang Jian was afraid that his skills would not be passed down. He asked Shen Shou to give detailed lectures on embroidery techniques. Zhang Jian made notes, one or two every day, or one every two or three days. A few months later, he wrote the book "Xuehuan Embroidery Manual". Summarizes 18 basic embroidery techniques. In October 1999, the Nantong Embroidery and Weaving Bureau was completed, with Shen Shou as director. Shen Shou died of illness on June 8, 2010, at the age of 48. He was buried at the southeast foot of Huangni Mountain in Nantong. The Suzhou Museum has its "Statue of Jigong" and other embroidery works. Shen Shou's sister Shen Li, also known as He Yi, has embroidery skills comparable to Shen Shou's and has been a long-term collaborator. Shen Shou had already done embroidery together before he got married, and he continued to go to Beijing, Tianjin, Nantong and other places with Shen Shou. After Shen Shou's death, Shen Li took over as the director of Nantong Embroidery. Her self-embroidered works include "Horse", "Goddess", "Tiger", etc.
