Falling red is not a heartless thing, it turns into spring mud to protect the flowers.
From the late Qing Dynasty poet Gong Zizhen's "Miscellaneous Poems of Ji Hai·The Mighty and Sorrowful Sunset"
< p>The sun is setting in the daytime of the majestic separation, and the whip is chanting to the east and pointing to the end of the world. The falling red is not a heartless thing, it turns into spring mud to protect the flowers.
Appreciation
This is the fifth poem in "Miscellaneous Poems of Jihai", describing the poet's feelings after leaving Beijing. Although he carried the "vast sorrow of separation", he expressed that he would still do his best for the country and the people.
