An ancient poem expressing gratitude

1. Lotus Leaves

Tang Dynasty: Zheng Gu

The splash of moving boat is poor green, and the handle is fragrant when leaning against the sill wind.

Thank you for your perseverance. You can keep a mandarin duck in the rain.

As the boat moved forward, the river splashed, the uneven green lotus was rippling, leaning against the railing beside the boat, and the wind blew in waves, shaking a handle of lotus leaves, bringing a wisp of fragrance. Thanks a lot to the women who are washing the yarn. They didn't come to pick the lotus leaves, so that the lotus leaves can cover the Yuanyang playing in the water in the rain.

2. A Gift to Wang Lun

Tang Dynasty: Li Bai

Li Bai was about to go in a boat when he suddenly heard singing on the shore.

Peach Blossom Pond is deeper than thousands of feet, which is not as good as Wang Lun's.

I was getting on the boat, and I was just about to set off when I heard the melodious sound of singing from the shore. Look at the Peach Blossom Pond. Even though thousands of feet is deep, how can I be as grateful as Wang Lun?

Tang Dynasty: Yuan Zhen

I sit here alone, mourning for us both, how long is more than a hundred years?

there have been better men than I to whom heaven denied a son, there was a poet better than I whose dead wife could not hear him.

what have I to hope for in the darkness of our tomb?, you and I had little faith in a meeting after death.

Just keep your eyes open all night, that lifelong trouble of your brow.

Translation: Sit around and grieve for you and sigh for me. How long is life short for a hundred years! It is fate that Deng You has no offspring, and Pan Yue mourns his dead wife in vain. Even if you can be buried together, you can't talk about your feelings. What an illusory hope it is to become attached to the afterlife. I can only miss you all night with my eyes open, and repay your eyebrows that can't be stretched all my life.

Three Poems of Qiang Village

In Tang Dynasty, Du Fu

chickens were barking, and the guests were fighting with the chickens.

drive the chickens up the trees, and only then can you hear knocking on firewood.

four or five elders asked me about my long trip.

each hand has its own carry, and it will be clear when it is poured out.

don't say that wine tastes thin, and the millet field is left uncultivated.

since the fighting has not stopped, the children have gone east.

please sing an old song for your father: hard feelings!

When the song was over, I sighed and cried.

flocks of chickens are barking, and when the guests come, the chickens fight and fight. I drove the chicken to the end of the tree, and then I heard someone knocking at Chai Men. Four or five village elders came to express their condolences to me for coming back from far away. With gifts in their hands, they poured wine out of the bottle, some of which were clear and some were turbid.

repeatedly explained: "The reason why the wine is weak is that the fields are not cultivated. The war has not stopped, and all the young people have gone eastward. " Please let me sing for my elders, and thank them for their deep feelings of bringing wine and condolences in difficult days. After singing, I couldn't help sighing, and all the guests present were filled with tears, which made me sad.

Tang Dynasty: Wang Changling

fought a sword and traveled thousands of miles, feeling a word.

I used to be a girder passenger, and I didn't live up to my trust.

I'm going to travel thousands of miles with my sword, so I take the liberty to say something to you. During the Warring States Period, people who worked as doormen in Daliang never failed Xinlingjun. I was supported by the prefect in Wuling, and I will never forget your kindness to me.
