The "Mountain Shades the Day" in the Heron Lodge refers to the sunset in the west and the sun in the sky. How to understand it? Everyone is familiar with the poem "In the Lodge of Herons". With the first impression after reading it, I conceived a magnificent picture of a long river sunset in my mind. For the first sentence, it is generally considered to be about the sunset. However, some people think that "daytime" does not mean sunset, and "mountain climbing" does not mean sunset. The reason is that "sunset" is red and cannot be called "daytime"; "Mountain" refers to Zhongtiao Mountain. In the southeast of the mirage, the sun will not set in the southeast.
This happened in class: a student raised his hand and asked, "teacher, when the sun goes down, it is all red." Why does this poem write' day' on the mountain? " Should be the' red sun' on the mountain? "The teacher was tongue-tied, at a loss, glared at the students and shouted," What's the mess? "Wang Zhihuan is not as good as you, why didn't you see your poem selected as a textbook!" It seems that if we want to correctly understand the meaning of "mountains cover the day", we must understand the meaning of "mountains" and "sky". The sun is the sun, and the sun in the morning, the sun at noon and the sunset in the evening are all "days". In this poem, "daytime" means "sunset", and "mountains cover the daytime" means that the sun is about to set. In ancient poems, there were many people who called the sunset "the sun" before and after Wang Zhihuan, such as: ① Go to the Western Heaven on the first day and leave Dongling on the second. (Tao Yuanming's Miscellaneous Poems, which means: Sunset in the Western Hills, Rising in Dongling. ) 2 the desert is light with clouds, open at night, and the blue sky reflects the balcony. (Han Yu's "Twenty-two people sent by Zhang Zhang, a foreign member of the Ministry of Water Affairs" means that in the evening, the thin clouds disappear and the blue sky is shining on the balcony. In these two poems, the "late" and "lost in the west" of time are clearly pointed out, so it makes sense for the "sun" in the poems to mean "sunset". People who interpret "daytime" as "the sun in the sky" can't explain why the sun in the sky is "exhausted by the mountains", so they have to say vaguely, "Looking ahead, I can only see that the sun seems to be setting next to it, which is extremely high", and some people say that "the sun in mountainous areas sets early and is still strong when it sets, so the sun is white". These explanations are far-fetched. Some people also think that "daytime" should be interpreted as sunset, but they think that the "mountain" that "depends on the mountain" is Zhongtiao Mountain. There are contradictions in the explanation: How can the sunset in the west fall next to Zhongtiao Mountain in the east? It seems that understanding the meaning of "mountain" is more critical. Some commentators interpret this mountain as Zhongtiao Mountain, based on a passage in Shen Kuo's Meng Qian Bi Tan in the Song Dynasty: "There are many poets in the Tang Dynasty, with a three-story mirage overlooking Zhongtiao Mountain and overlooking the river." Secondly, according to the west of the stork tower is the Weihe plain, it is considered impossible to have mountains. In fact, the above two points are not enough to be the basis for the mountain to be Zhongtiao Mountain. There is indeed Zhongtiao Mountain in the southeast of Stork House, but the distance is not close. The west is located between the Loess Plateau and the Qinling Mountains, and Huashan Mountain is not far away, so it cannot be concluded that there are no mountains in the west. Although it can't be concluded that the "mountain" really refers to a mountain in the west of Stork's home, it can be considered as an unknown mountain or peak in the distance. It can also be thought that "the mountain is at the end of its water" means that the poet may not see the mountain when the sun goes down in the west, just like "He Yang Xie Jin River" goes east without seeing the sea. On weekdays, people often say that "the sun sets in the west" and "the western hills at sunset" do not necessarily see a mountain, let alone refer to a mountain. Therefore, there is no reason to determine that the mountain that "depends on the mountain" is Zhongtiao Mountain. "Mountains cover the day" means that the sun sets in the west.
