Many people know that China has the "Silk Road", but perhaps not many people know that China has the "Tang Poetry Road".

Where is the path of poetry? Starting from the ancient city of Shaoxing, it goes south from Jinghu Lake through the Cao'e River, along the river, into Mingxi River in Zhejiang Province, to Yanxi River, up the river, through Xinchang Wojiang River, Tianmu, and finally to Shiliang Waterfall in Tiantai Mountain. The total length is about 190 kilometers. kilometers, covering an area of ??more than 20,000 square kilometers. For more than a thousand years, many literati and poets have been intoxicated by the scenery of thousands of rocks, thousands of valleys, pastoral songs in the countryside, and boats on the clear water on this road. They drank wine and sailed and sang songs along the way, leaving behind a large number of well-known masterpieces. , the world named it "The Road of Tang Poetry".

According to historical records, 12 poets in the Tang Dynasty visited Yanzhong and traveled through this scenic route. Lu Zhaolin and Luo Binwang are the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty"; He Zhizhang and Cui Zongzhi are the "Eight Immortals in Drinking"; Yuan Zhen, Li Shen and Li Deyu are the "Three Heroes of the Middle Tang Dynasty"; Luo Yin, Luo Ye, Luo Qiu and Meng Haoran are the "Three Heroes of the Late Tang Dynasty" , Cui Hao, Wang Wei, Jia Dao, Du Mu, etc., all left their footprints and poems on this road, thus forming an irreplaceable cultural accumulation on this road.

After the poet Li Bai took a tour of this ancient road, he was intoxicated by the beautiful scenery along the way. He sang, "This trip is not for the sea bass, but for the love of the famous mountains.", "I want to dream of Wuyue, Flying across the mirror lake and the moon all night" and other inspiring poems. Several years after Li Bai visited the Tiantai, the poet Meng Haoran climbed up to the Tiantai Mountain along the Cao'e River and the Yan River and wrote "Looking at the Tiantai at Dawn in the Boat". When Du Fu was 20 years old, he traveled to Taiwan and Vietnam. He stayed there for four years and forgot to return. This shows the poet's attachment to this scenic route, which later generations called the "Road of Tang Poetry".

Why did this ancient road win the favor of poets in the Tang Dynasty? It turns out that the three famous mountains of Kuaiji, Siming and Tiantai in eastern Zhejiang are entangled here, surrounded by hundreds of clear streams, rushing with sound, and forming the Yan River. The Shan River is crystal clear and the scenery on both sides is picturesque, just like a paradise. Tiantai Mountain has been a famous mountain wonderland since ancient times. There are many beautiful myths and legends along the way. Poets of the Tang Dynasty preferred to roam around Yanzhong, mainly to pursue the legacy of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, pre-Han culture and even prehistoric legends.

Twelve kilometers east of Xinchang County is the quiet and beautiful Wozhou Lake. The vast 818-hectare water surface can store 186 million cubic meters of water. It is surrounded by green mountains and dotted with oases. Wozhou Lake is named after Wozhou Mountain. There were 18 eminent monks such as Zhu Daoqian and Zhidun, and 18 celebrities such as Wang Xizhi and Sun Chuo gathered here. Wozhou became the center of Buddhism in eastern Zhejiang and left behind Zhidun Ridge and Yangmapo. Waiting for miracles. There is a mountain in the southeast of Wozhou. There is a cave under the mountain peak with a waterfall hanging over the door, which is called Shuiliandong. The waterfall outside the cave falls from a height of more than 30 meters, floating in the wind like a bead curtain hanging. Zhu Xi's poem praised: "A curtain of water covers the entrance of the cave, who can roll up the curtain hook."

Far opposite to Wozhou Mountain is Tianmu Mountain. It is recorded in the annals: "The pulse runs from Kuocang to Guanling and enters the boundary. There are many peaks and various shapes." Li Bai's poem "Sleepwalking Tianmu Yin Leaves Farewell" made Tianmu Mountain famous all over the world. He described Tianmu's misty rain, sea and sun, The dreamy scenery of Qingyuan, Tianji, Bear Roar, Dragon Roar, Cloud Skirt and Xiayi still attracts Chinese and foreign tourists.

In addition to the three provincial-level scenic spots such as the Big Buddha Temple, Chuanyan Nineteen Peaks, and Wozhou Lake, Xinchang also has Xiaojiang Forestry Natural Forest Park, Shaxi Town Sanjing Longtan, and Ruji Town Wanmadu Wonders. Wait, it's either secluded, dangerous or strange, it's amazing.

In recent years, this "Tang Poetry Road" has attracted the attention of scholars and experts at home and abroad, and they have visited it one after another. I believe that it won’t be long before the “Tang Poetry Road” will shine brightly and become a charming tourist landscape that combines humanities and natural landscapes.
