What is there in Jingting Mountain?

Jingting Mountain, formerly known as Zhaoting Mountain, is located on the bank of Shuiyang River in the northern suburbs of Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. It is a branch of Huangshan Mountain. There are three main peaks: Cuiyun Peak and Cuiyun Peak. The highest peak, Cuiyun Peak, is 324.1 meters above sea level. In the Western Jin Dynasty, in order to avoid the name taboo of Sima Zhao, Emperor Wen of Jin Dynasty, it was renamed Jingting Mountain. There are thousands of poems, articles, notes and paintings praising Jingting Mountain in the past dynasties, so it is known as the "Jiangnan Poetry Mountain". The poet Xie Tiao of the Southern Qi Dynasty left the poem "Visiting Jingting Mountain" when he was the prefect of Xuancheng; Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty visited Jingting Mountain seven times in his life and left 45 poems describing Jingting Mountain; after Xie and Li, Bai Juyi, Du Mu, Ouyang Xiu, Literati from successive dynasties such as Huang Tingjian, Su Shi, and Wen Tianxiang visited here one after another.

The total planned area of ??Jingting Mountain Scenic Area is 21.3 square kilometers, of which the core scenic area is 13 square kilometers. It has four major scenic areas: Twin Towers Scenic Area, Duzuolou Scenic Area, Yifeng Scenic Area and Wanling Lake Scenic Area. Poetry, Buddhism, tea and wine are the four major cultural characteristics. Most of the places of interest and historical sites are gathered in the Twin Towers Scenic Area and the Duzuo Tower Scenic Area, and there are waterside pavilions and singing platforms such as the Shanmen Archway, Taibai Duzuo Tower, Huaiying Pavilion, and Huanggu Spring. Hongyuan Temple of Pure Land Buddhism and Guangjiao Temple of Zen Buddhism are also located in the core scenic area.

Yifeng Nunnery

It is named after it is built on the main peak of Yifeng. Mei Shoude, a man of the Ming Dynasty, wrote a poem: "It is sunny in winter, and chrysanthemums are still hanging on the fence. The shadows of Buddhist figures are sinking in the clouds, and the sound of bells is falling in the forest."

Yongcui Pavilion

This is where Li Bai sat alone and wrote poems. Here, there are thousands of layers of green mountains, and the scenery of Jingting Pavilion falls in front of you, so it is named Yongcuiting. Wang Kedi of the Qing Dynasty once wrote a poem: "I have never tired of exploring wonders. I have a couch with Zhao Pavilion and sit in love with the blue of Shuangxi."

Cuiyun Nunnery

Located on the hillside of Jingting Mountain, it was originally named Bu Jingshi. It was destroyed in the late Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. Gong Anguo, a man of the Ming Dynasty, once wrote a poem: "On the side of the small pavilion's virtual rock, there is an ancient cypress tree. Looking out towards the dizzying brocade, the autumn colors are in the carved lantern..."
