on Meeting My Friend Feng Zhu in the Capital

.[ Tang]. Wei Yingwu.

out of the east you visit me, with the rain of Baling still on your clothes.

I ask you what you have come here for, you say: "To buy an ax for cutting wood in the mountains".

hidden deep in a haze of blossom, a new milk.

as they did when we parted, a year ago, how grey our temples have grown since then!.

Appreciation of the whole poem

This is a poem about friendship, and it is also a vivid five-character ancient poem with deep feelings. Wei Yingwu thinks that Feng Zhu is an unfortunate man with virtue and talent. Wei Yingwu was in Chang 'an from the fourth year of Dali (769) to the thirteenth year of Dali (778), while Feng Zhu was recruited to go to Guangzhou in the fourth year of Dali and went to Chang 'an in the twelfth year of Dali. This poem can be written in four or twelve years of Dali, and it has infinite sympathy for friends. The "guest" in the first sentence refers to Feng Zhu; The second sentence, "Ba Ling", borrowed the secluded places of Liang Hong and Han Kang in the Han Dynasty, suggesting that Feng Zhu had the demeanor of a celebrity and a hermit. Two words: Feng Zhu came from the east, and his clothes were stained with the wind and rain in Baling Mountain, showing that he was dusty and had a hard journey.

Three or four sentences allude to the purpose of Feng Zhu's coming to Beijing. The allusion of "mining mountains" answers the question of "What is the future" in the previous sentence, in order to make money by mining mountains, but there are thorns in the mountains, and you have to buy axes and thorns. The poet asks himself and answers himself, and his words are humorous and playful, which dilutes the unhappiness in his friends' hearts and gives people a relaxed feeling. Five or six sentences describe the scenery, which is full of emotion. The word "invisible" and "embarrassing" describe the situation of things, which is extremely vivid. Nature is silent and the flowers are blooming, and the swallows nursing their chicks are flying happily. This statement is fair and deceitful, and the predecessors care for nature. The last two sentences encourage friends and express deep sympathy. I said goodbye yesterday, but now it's spring. How many strands of white hair are there on your temples? This is a word of encouragement, a word of comfort, saying that people can do a lot in their prime. The first four sentences of this poem are spit out at will, which is natural, simple, concise and humorous; Five or six sentences describe the image, lifelike, fresh and lively style; The last two sentences are tactfully rhetorical, which expresses deep affection. This is a good poem that seems to take in everything in a glance but is thought-provoking.
