What is new poetry (modern poetry)?

Neo-poetry refers to a poetic genre that arose around the May 4th Movement, which is different from classical poetry and takes vernacular as the basic language means.

In the development of China literature, poetry (including poetry, fu, ci, qu, etc. ) has made great achievements. However, in modern times, the creation of classical poetry gradually became rigid, "platitudes" flooded, and the tendency of "moaning without illness" was quite common. The vocabulary used in classical poetry is seriously out of touch with modern spoken language, and its strict restrictions in form (including rules and regulations, antithetical quotations and flat rhyme) have greatly restricted the ever-changing and increasingly complex social life of poetry and the expression of people's true thoughts and feelings. Therefore, the New Poetry Revolution became the first and most important part of the May 4th New Literature Movement. In the early days of new poetry, the main content was to abolish the formal constraints of old-style poetry, advocate vernacular Chinese into poetry, and express the poet's true feelings. Therefore, at that time, new poetry was also called "vernacular poetry", "vernacular rhyme" and "mandarin rhyme" (Qian's preface to the collection, Hu Shi's talk about new poetry and Kang's my opinion on the bottom of new poetry). 19 17 In February, Hu Shi's eight vernacular poems were published in New Youth, Volume 2, No.6, which was the first batch of vernacular new poems in the China New Poetry Movement. The first collection of poems in vernacular Chinese is Hu Shi's Attempt Collection (1920). The Goddess written by Guo Moruo (192 1) first took on a brand-new look in thought and art, and made great contributions to the establishment of new poetry.

In the process of its establishment and development, new poetry has been greatly influenced by foreign poetry. This has played a positive role in the formation of artistic methods of new poetry. On the basis of absorbing the beneficial nutrition of Chinese classical poetry, folk songs and foreign poems, many poets have explored the expression methods and artistic forms of new poetry in many aspects, resulting in various artistic trends of thought such as realism, romanticism and symbolism, and various forms such as free verse, new metrical poem, sonnet, pedal poem and prose poem have appeared. The exploration of many poets and the creation of some excellent poets have gradually made new poetry mature and diversified. Since the May 4th Movement, new poetry has been the main body of China's modern poetry.

1953 The name "Modern Poetry" was first used when Ji Xian founded the "Modern Poetry Society". The significance of modern poetry;

1. The form is free.

2. The connotation is open

3. Image management is more important than rhetoric.

Comparison between "classical poetry" and "modern poetry": poets are all formed by feeling things and are the reflection of their hearts. "Classical Poetry" expresses tenderness, tenderness, sadness and no resentment with the poetic view of "thinking innocently", emphasizing "between solvable and unsolvable". "Modern poetry" emphasizes the spirit of freedom and openness, and communicates "between the sensible and the intangible" with straightforward situational statements.

Get to the point, the following is the format of writing modern poetry:

1] xxx personnel position

2] Action xxx

3] In xxx (location)

4] Existence (condition) xxx

At first glance, it will be so vague that you don't even know what you are talking about. It doesn't matter. Let me explain it slowly:

1] People's position is to explain a state, such as "I am standing on the edge of the 27th floor".

2] xxx action: explain a situation related to [1], such as "Snow falls at my feet"

3] In xxx (location): Change scenes, such as On that windy day.

4] Existence (condition) xxx: Simply put, it is to state a disconnected state, such as "My tears turned into snowflakes"

Then connect the above four sentences to see if they are like modern poetry:

I stood on the edge of the 27th floor.

Snowflakes are falling under my feet.

On that windy day.

My tears turned into snowflakes.

It's very simple. Let's carry out the technique to the end, and I'll make another song:

You walk quietly in my heart.

Didn't tell me about your arrival.

In a barren mind

I have been waiting for her arrival.

How to write a poem, there are several steps:

I have something to say in my heart.

First of all, the creator himself has a kind of thought or emotion that he wants to express (such as loving the party, loving the motherland, hating corruption, etc., which can involve all aspects of daily life). No matter whether this kind of thought or emotion is clear or vague (ambiguity here refers to what may happen at a certain writing level), in short, he has a desire to express himself and want the world to know his thoughts or emotions. Of course, you can narrow it down and let only one person know (you can assume that there is such a person). So, you think you have something to say. So, implicitly, or directly, this is your choice.

When I can't write, people always say: I have no inspiration. In fact, I just have nothing to say in my heart and nothing to tell anyone. If there are many different things to say in your heart every day, then there will be something to write every day.

Express with artistic feeling

Let's do an experiment first. Write the words, sentences, paragraphs, stories, poems, images, colors and scenes that you can think of when you see the glass. Write it out.

A color, a scene, etc. Write whatever you want (5 minutes).

The creator's thoughts and emotions should be expressed through language, so this language must be refined artistic language, and artistic language comes from the creator's own artistic feelings.

A sense of art is different from a sense of nature. For example, write a poem based on glass, or write images, colors and scenes. In short, write down what you can think of when you see the glass.

Please see: my thoughts fly through the transparent glass to the depths of white clouds.

Artistic sense is to look at things from an aesthetic point of view. This feeling is artistic, unreal, unrealistic and even unscientific, but it is in line with the author's mood at the moment and has obvious imagination space.

The Heart Beating in the Chest is realistic, true and scientific.

"My Heart Dances in the Light Rain" is a fiction, which is in line with my mood. This is the sense of art.

This way of thinking is called divergent thinking. Divergent thinking is obviously different from single linear thinking.

Then, the emotions expressed by these divergent thinking languages are also different. These emotions must be consistent with the emotions you want to express. Dreams smile in the starlight at night. Anyone who reads such a poem will feel happy. In this way, you are using your emotional contagion readers. You just bring him into your poem step by step.

Artistic sense is to look at natural things with aesthetic feeling and vision. Seeing mountains is not just mountains, and seeing water is not just water. Look at the electric light, not the electric light, but the diamond. Look at the blackboard, not the blackboard, but a green grassland or a huge emerald.

First write what you have captured with artistic sense, even if it is a color, in a word. But that's your own unique feeling.

Artistic feeling can be trained, and this training method is the same as training imagination. Take ten minutes to think about a substance and see how many metaphors you can come up with. Keep training for a period of time, and you can improve.

However, no matter what artistic means you use to express it, it must be consistent with your thoughts and feelings. Therefore, all scenery languages (the language of writing scenery) are love languages.

If you are writing a poem, you should try your best to express what you want to say with artistic feeling. Then the next step.

C, streamline and refine the report (modified)

Poetry is often rational thinking or abstract thinking, and it is an art expressed in perceptual language or visual language. Thought is the core, image is the coat, and words are the symbols of image. A few words form one or several images, and many images form a clear or vague concept.

Since ancient times, the standard of a good poem has always been a high combination of philosophy and poetry, in other words, a high combination of artistry and ideology. If you want every poem to meet this standard, it is difficult for beginners to write poems, even for old poets, because writing a good poem requires many factors. Everything is regular, so is writing. There must be a quantitative accumulation process, and then there will be a qualitative leap. If you come up with amazing words, then you must have a lot of distinctive knowledge structure and cultural background, as well as many advanced and scientific experiences and methods (whether others or yourself), so that you have this condition, but the effect and result are still difficult to predict.

Use divergent thinking to modify the sentence again. There is no pattern in review. Simple words can be modified, and whole sentences can be modified in more complicated ways. More complicated ones can be reconsidered, or the whole poem can be overturned and rewritten.

Often beginners are too lazy to revise poems. Or you can't see the problem yourself.

Generally speaking, the most common problems for beginners to write poems are as follows:

1, there is nothing to write (the topics should be listed separately, so the content is relatively small, so I will put them here)

The solution is how to make your heart restless all day (if you want to capture the poetry in life). Poetry is difficult to write without strong feelings. No matter how mature and steady you are in real life, if you want to write a poem, you should keep this mentality and let it last at least until the poem is finished. If you want to write a lot, then you must think about things all day. Life seems calm on the surface, as if nothing has happened, but if your heart is like this, then you have nothing to write about. Only when people's emotions are excited can they have more inspiration. Maybe you have accumulated decades of life, but those accumulations are like a pile of firewood. Perhaps this pile of firewood has become very wet in the years of wind and rain, and it needs not only a match, but a torch to light it. This is a trigger point often mentioned in creation, similar to a fuse.

Write often, and occasionally there is nothing to write, just say that there is no inspiration. Poetry depends entirely on inspiration, and is basically completed by the spark of inspiration. Fiction and prose are another matter.

Different personal situations and habits will have different effects on the question of dictation or dynamic writing.

If you want to be a poet, you must learn to keep a poetic heart. You are not required to be sad about the moon or shed tears over the flowers, but at least you should maintain an appreciation and aesthetic attitude towards trivial real life, natural scenery and everything in the world.

2. Lack of poetry.

Lack of poetry, to put it bluntly, is lack of artistic sense. It's all about natural feelings. It's so real. The way is to train your artistic sense frequently, so as to improve step by step. The artistic conception of poetry is completely accomplished through the sublimation of the author's artistic feelings.

Sometimes, the whole poem has no poetry and does not give people any aesthetic feeling. Then, there is only one way to overcome this problem: write it again with the same topic and the same content.

Not exquisite enough

Inadequacy refers to the redundant words in a poem, which makes a poem look uncomfortable, just like a person wearing a cotton-padded jacket and trousers in summer. Maybe sometimes it's not that serious, but I also wear sweaters and pants.

Take the title of a poem among students as an example: I am a watering can.

There is absolutely no need to keep the pronoun "I" here. If it is deleted, it will not affect the whole. Another example is the word "like". My heart is like the wild waves of the sea, and so on. This poem seems to have too much water. After a poem is written, it should be compressed again to see if there is any redundancy and deleted.
