Jingfushan's human history

Longmen Cave, called Lingxian Rock in ancient times, is a land full of aura and geomantic omen. It has long been loved by hermits in past dynasties and is a place where Taoist priests travel around. The tablet says that Longmen Cave "began in the Spring and Autumn Period and was built in the Western Han Dynasty". According to legend, in the Western Zhou Dynasty (now Hanguguan Town, Lingbao City, Henan Province), Hanguguan ordered Yin to help Laozi write five thousand words of the Tao Te Ching, and later left his post and returned to the mountains to live in seclusion, named Lingxianyan. During the Warring States Period, it was renamed Doutan Cave. In the Western Han Dynasty, Mr. Hou, a Langguan, abandoned his official position and entered the Taoism. In his later years, he lived in seclusion here and changed his name to Jing Fushan. Sun Simiao, a medical scientist in the Tang Dynasty, avoided imperial edicts and lived in seclusion, applying drugs to help the world. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Ma Danyang and Qiu Chuji, the "seven real people" of Taoism, practiced and lectured here, and Qiu Chuji came to live here from Panxi, Baoji, and practiced for seven years, which was called Longmen Mountain. At the foot of the back hill, there is only one Wang Yu Temple dedicated to Dayu's water control. Later, the name of the mountain was changed to Longmen Cave, and after the scenery was added, the Dragon Sect of Taoism was founded. Qiu was also the founder of the Dragon Sect of Taoism and became the most successful Quanzhen Gaodao in the history of Taoism in China. Qiu Chuji was respected by the Southern Song Dynasty, the Jin Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty, and was summoned by Jin Shizong and Yuan Taizu for many times. He was appointed as a Buddhist by Genghis Khan and was in charge of Taoism throughout the country. From then on, Longmen Cave became famous, stepped into glory and reached its peak. His disciples built temples and magnificent mountain gates to expand their scale. Since then, Longmen Grottoes have been repaired and expanded by a group of military and political dignitaries such as Yang Hucheng and Sun, and have been looted and burned by soldiers repeatedly, and finally formed today's landscape.

According to "Palace Monument in Yuan Dynasty", the founder of Longmen Daoism School, Qiu Chuji, agreed to build Qiu's former residence 52 years after his death (1266), and it was completed in 16 years (1279), but the scale has not been tested. He Zhizhen and others followed the Quanzhen Taoist rules, left home to settle in the mountains and practice, and overhauled temples and gates. In addition, Qiu Chuji was appointed as a Buddhist in Jin and Yuan Dynasties, and he has been leading Taoism in China, which is respected both inside and outside Taoism. The reputation of Chen Yu Palace (Longmen Grottoes) has been greatly shaken. Later generations built temples to add color and scenery, and the pattern of Taoist temples gradually enriched, becoming a big jungle of Taoism in northern Shaanxi, and the scenic spots of Jiangshan survived forever. Longmen Grottoes are located at the junction of Shaanxi Province and Gansu Province. The mountains are stacked with obstacles, and Shan Qi has beautiful water, deep caves, lush trees and charming scenery. Beautiful spring and autumn, full of green flowers, full of flowers, bright sun and moon, purple fog around, before and after the wind and rain, mountain clouds, night cries, streams gurgling, is a landscape wonder in Guanzhong. People come here to swim, which is refreshing. Although it was severely damaged during the Cultural Revolution, temples and roads were later renovated to solve the problem of water supply and power supply. Not only the old ideas gradually recovered, but also the scenery increased frequently. 1984, the people's government of Shaanxi Province approved Longmen Cave as the first batch of tourist spots open to the outside world in the province, and the number of tourists increased year by year, reaching more than 10000 in/989, making it one of the important tourist spots in western Guanzhong.
