Chai Shiyu probably went to Wugang (now Wugang County, Hunan Province) from Longbiao, and the poem was written by Wang Changling to see him off. "Yuan water flows through Wugang" and points out the place where friends are going. The tone is smooth and light. "Yuanshui" and "Liu" flowed down one after another, showing that the rivers are connected and the roads are smooth. Coupled with the word "connected", it gives people a feeling that the distance between the two places is very close, which is for the next sentence.
So the second sentence says, "I don't feel any loss." The poet may not be without "separation", but in order to comfort his friends, he can only restrain it from causing and infecting each other. It is more likely that the other party showed the emotion of "leaving injury", which made the poets who are good at expressing their feelings have to use the language of not far away, optimistic, cheerful and affectionate to alleviate the sadness of the other party's departure. Isn't this a more considerate and touching friendship? Yes, just like this, "Farewell is harmless" will not be served by firewood, nor will readers mistake the poet for having no feelings. On the contrary, people feel incomparable kindness and rare affection here.
