Ingredients for Zengzi Rice
300 grams of brown rice and 2000 grams of water
Step 1
Put water in a pot and place it on the bottom of the pot When the bubbles appear, add rice. The rice used to make rice dumplings does not have to be particularly good. If the rice is oily, the steamed rice will not taste loose and will not taste good.
Step 2
After the water boils, adjust the heat until the rice pot remains boiling but does not spread out. The proportion of water is very important. Generally, a box of rice (150 grams) contains about 1000 grams of water. Without water, the rice soup will be sticky and the steamed rice will not taste good.
Step 3
Cook the rice until it is eight to nine times ripe and still a little hard in the core, then turn off the heat. Overcooked or undercooked, the steamed rice will be either raw or soft.
Step 4
Pour the rice and rice soup into the rice cooker and drain the rice soup for another use. Rice soup is generally used to cook papa dishes.
Step 5
Add water into the pot and put the steamer in. This is a sand steamer made of toon trees. The steamed rice not only has the fragrance of the trees, but the rice will also be a little red. The one in the middle of the steamer is called the steamer grate. It is raised in the middle and vegetables can be cooked underneath.
Step 6
Place gauze on the retort grate. Drain the drained rice.
Step 7
Use chopsticks to poke some holes in the rice to allow steam to come out.
Step 8
Put out a tang in the middle and steam a sausage or other dishes, depending on the ingredients available at home. Local dishes include steamed crucian carp, bacon, eggplant or mushrooms.
Step 9
Turn on high heat. After breathing in, adjust the heat to medium and steam for more than ten minutes.
