In Sanskrit, Borobudur means "Buddhist temple on the mountain", which stands among the dense forest trees like a giant fancy sorbet. About 2 million stones were used to build an arc under the upper ring, forming a three-dimensional Roman shape as a whole. It is 3 1.5 meters high and consists of three parts: the tower foundation, the five-story veranda and the central stupa on the three-story circular platform. They respectively represent the three realms of "color world", "desire world" and "no desire world". Borobudur is pyramid-shaped and can be lifted. It has a square tower foundation and consists of five platforms with walls. And decorated with thousands of sculptures reflecting the life of the Buddha. On the square platform is a four-story circular platform with 72 bell-shaped pagodas or shrines, each with a Buddha statue. There is a main stupa at the top.
