A Brief Introduction of Chen Ajiao, Empress of Han Dynasty

Empress Chen (date of birth and death unknown), whose real name is unknown, is from Dongyang County (now Tianchang, Anhui Province). The first queen of Liu Che, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Empress Chen is the descendant of the founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty, the daughter of Tang Yi and the daughter of princess royal Liu Pu. Empress Chen married Che as a crown princess during the reign of Emperor Han Jing, and became a queen in the first year of Jianyuan (BC 140).

In the fifth year of Yuan Guang (BC 130), he was deposed and retired to Nagato Palace on charges of "bewitching witches". He later died in Ding Yuan to Yuanfeng for three years (1 16~ 107). Chen Yisheng's ups and downs left many allusions for later generations, such as "Golden House hides charming" and "Buying Fu", which were sung by literary works of past dynasties.
