Editor's note: On the morning of the 25th, after the company's power line analysis meeting, I once again walked into Huangshi Fenghuangshan Community and started my eighth day of duty. ——The anti-epidemic diaries of three front-line workers in the fight against the epidemic.
A bowl of cooked noodles, so delicious!
Cheng Aiping (Member of Xihuayuan Community Grid, Xialu District, Huangshi City)
At around 9 pm on February 21st, I came home from work and prepared to cook a bowl of noodles. After putting the pot down, the phone rang.
The call was from Master Shao’s daughter in the community, saying that his father had been checked out and was fine. The doctor recommended going home to recuperate, but the hospital did not have a car and asked us to help find a car.
After hanging up the phone, I quickly turned off the gas and hurriedly left the house. On the way, I called Cheng Min, secretary of the community party committee, and briefly talked about Master Shao's situation -
At around 3 o'clock this afternoon, after delivering vegetables to the residents, I walked to Building 9 of the Mining Building. I saw an old man in his 60s wandering at the entrance of the building with a worried face. I stepped forward to inquire and learned that his father-in-law, Master Shao, who was nearly 90 years old, accidentally fell and was currently in a coma at home. His family had called 120.
Soon, the ambulance arrived. Together with the doctor, I carried Master Shao down from the fourth floor and then to the car. At the hospital, after Master Shao's children completed the hospitalization procedures, I left my phone number and left.
After arriving at the community, Secretary Cheng Min and I borrowed a car with a pass from the community guarantee unit, followed the car to the hospital, took Master Shao and his family home, and helped them carry the old man. Go up to the fourth floor.
Unexpectedly, as soon as I returned to the community and turned on my phone, Master Shao’s son-in-law sent a thank you letter in the WeChat group. Many people liked it, which made me feel warm in my heart.
When I got home at almost 11 o'clock in the evening, I remembered that I hadn't eaten yet, so I quickly heated up the noodles that were battered into a lump in the pot. It was so delicious!
Vegetables turn yellow easily, so deliver them quickly
Xiong Wei (Secretary of the Party Committee of State Grid Huangshi Power Supply Company)
On the morning of February 25, the company guaranteed power After the line analysis meeting, I walked into Huangshi Phoenix Mountain Community again and started my eighth day of duty.
During this period, in addition to the employees on the front line of ensuring power supply, more than 700 party members of our company reported to their communities and participated in 87 residential communities.
There are more than 4,700 permanent residents in Fenghuangshan Community, most of whom are elderly, and there are only 11 community cadres. After the community was closed, many elderly people went downstairs to the community for help because they did not know how to shop online. My task is to take the temperature of every resident who comes in and register their needs.
In this small window of the community, I realized the hardship of grassroots work.
Liu Kun, who works for Huangshi Firefighting, is also a member of the sinking party. On February 19, the vegetables planned to be delivered at 4 pm did not arrive. Residents gathered at the gate of the community. He explained to the residents while urging the vehicles delivering vegetables. At around 7 o'clock in the evening, as soon as the food delivery vehicle arrived, Liu Kun took us to seize the time to share the food. When the last resident left with the food, it was already 9 pm. Only then did Liu Kun make a bowl of instant noodles and devour it.
On February 21, community secretary Luo Huilan was pointed at her nose and yelled at, and was almost pushed to the ground because she refused to allow a resident to go out. But she was still unhurried, and even tried to dissuade the people who came to help her, saying: "Extraordinary times are not easy for everyone. We must understand."
Community cadre Gan Manhong pushed the trolley up the stairs. The vegetables distributed free of charge by the district government to 38 disabled people were delivered to their doorsteps. She said that vegetables tend to turn yellow easily, so if they are delivered early, everyone can feel the warmth of the Party earlier.
With the police badge on your head, you must serve the masses
Ke Hanshi (Community Police Officer, Wangren Police Station, Huangshi Development Zone·Tieshan District Public Security Bureau)
February On the 26th, I was on duty at Nanka Point in Wangren Town. When I returned to the station in the evening, my wife called me and I suddenly realized that I had not been home for 35 days.
To prevent the spread of the epidemic, the community is crucial. The Wangren Community, Wangren Village, and Xieduan Village that I am responsible for have a large migrant population and a complex composition. We conduct home inspections and verify information every household, and are required to quarantine at home and report their physical conditions over the phone.
On February 3, when I was investigating a suspected patient with COVID-19, the other party’s phone number remained unreachable. My teammates and I came to inquire about the situation. After meeting with the client and confirming that he was at home and in normal physical condition, I was relieved.
At about 8 o'clock in the morning on February 14, the institute received an alarm saying that someone was drowning in Ma'anshan Reservoir. The class leader Zeng Jiangtao immediately called me and Shi Shengqiang to rush to the scene. At that time, half of the person who fell into the water was already submerged in the water. I knew something about water, so I quickly took off my police uniform, jumped into the water, and dragged the old man to shallow water. Zeng Jiangtao and Shi Shengqiang helped pull the man ashore.
On February 16, Tian, ??a resident of the area, quarreled with the checkpoint personnel in order to buy medicine for her husband, who was paralyzed at home. My colleagues and I went to the door to check. As soon as we entered the door, we saw her husband lying on the ground, which made us feel very uncomfortable. After a lot of setbacks, we finally bought medicines and diapers. When it was delivered to our door, Tian looked at us with tears in his eyes. With a police badge on your head, you have to serve the masses.
The turning point has not yet come, keep fighting!
