Tang Dynasty: Li Bai
When I was young, I didn't know the bright moon in the sky, so I called it Bai Yupan.
I suspect it is Yao's platform, flying in the sky.
Is the fairy in the moon hanging her feet?
Why do laurel trees become round in January?
The white rabbit is not an old panacea. Can you tell me who eats it?
Toads eat the full moon, the moon, the moon is so dark, I don't know.
After Yi shot down nine suns, the paradise on earth was clear and quiet.
The moon has been lost, and there is nothing to see except to walk away. Worry, how can I bear the pain, sadness breaks my heart.
Translation:
When I was a child, I didn't know the moon, so I called it a white jade plate. Some people suspect that it is the mirror of Yaotai immortal, flying into the sky. When you look at the moon at night, you can first see that the feet of the immortals begin to appear slowly, and then a group of big osmanthus trees also appear. Legend has it that there is a white rabbit pounding fairy medicine in the moon. Who is it for? It is also said that there was a big toad in the moon, which gradually eroded the moon. Once upon a time, there was a hero who shot down nine suns, leaving only one, so that heaven and man could be at peace. Obsessed with the destruction of yin essence, the moon lost its luster and was no longer worth watching. I am very worried about this, and my sadness is really heartbreaking!
