This is the poem "Wuding River". It is also called "Out of the Fortress", author: Chen You.
Chen You (1222-1277), also known as Chen Tianyou, had the courtesy name Qingfu (Qingfu) and the nickname Jiezhai. A native of Ningjin (now Ningjin County), Zhaozhou, Yuan Dynasty, he lived in Luoyang. In his early years, his family was poor, so he studied hard and became proficient in classics and history, as well as poetry. Yuan Xianzong was the general manager of Henan Prefecture at that time. In the second year of the Yuan Dynasty, Emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty changed the Nanjing Road to Zhongzhong. In the sixth year of the Yuan Dynasty, he was appointed as an envoy to Shandong Province. He disobeyed the powerful minister Ahema and removed Qian Zhongxing to save trouble. In the 13th year of Yuan Dynasty, he was appointed as the general manager of Nanjing Road. In the following year, he was promoted to the Xuanwei envoy in eastern Zhejiang Province. He was robbed and killed. His posthumous title is Zhongding. According to Wang Yi's "Biography of Wang Anguo", Lou Tan, a citizen of Xinchang County, "held the Yushan Dangerous Preservation" and rebelled, and Chen You was killed by them. After Chen You's death, Shi Bi, the right prime minister of the province, led an army to attack Yushan, and Lou Tan was captured by Wang Anguo, a native of Dongyang. Chen You composed poems and carved stones at Shanfu Qintai in Shandong, which had a great influence at that time. His "Jie Zhai Ji" has not been published. In the Qing Dynasty, Qian Xiyan's "Supplement to the Selected Poems of the Yuan Dynasty" compiled 11 of his poems.
I don’t understand much, just for reference.
The horn of the setting sun sounded like a trumpet by the Wuding River. Next to Helian was a hurried passerby. Hangu Pass was far away, and there were still thousands of miles to go back. The autumn wind that blew all of a sudden made my hair grow softly.
This is a desolate poem, a true portrayal of the long history of Wuding River, and Chen You's poem "Wuding River" expresses how much sadness, how much melancholy, and how much he feels about himself. Helplessness with the world. Use the autumn wind to vividly express the sadness in your heart.
Hope to discuss it with you!
