He experienced the process from prosperity to decline in the Tang Dynasty, and really felt the poison of the emperor's territorial expansion and Anshi rebellion to the people. With his own poems, he not only recorded the historical facts at that time, but also revealed the profound disaster brought to the people by this war in a deeply sympathetic style, showing deep feelings of worrying about the country and the people.
By comparing Du Fu's poems before and after the An Shi Rebellion, we can see how different they are, which will make anyone in China feel that in such a prosperous Tang Dynasty, they collapsed!
Secondly, due to many experiences, Du Fu's poetic style is changeable, but every change makes people feel more deeply moved. A storm and lifelong publication made a great poet.
Before the age of thirty-five, "I was dissolute with Zhao, and the autumn horse was quite wild." He is talented and full of enthusiasm. Just look at Wang Yue.
Later, frustrated in Chang 'an, he wrote a military vehicle shop and criticized Tang Xuanzong's aggression, and wrote about two books for Tao.
When Du Fu was forty-four, An Shi Rebellion broke out, and Emperor Tang Ming was forced to flee to Sichuan. Du Fu was arrested in Chang 'an on his way to Su Zong. Along the way, he wrote Moonlit Night, Hope in Spring, Love for the Head of the River and A leopard cannot change his spots. If he doesn't love this country so much, how can he write such a affectionate poem?
Later, he fled to Fengxiang and Suzong and took part in the battle of loyalists. Along the way, what he saw was the broken mountains and villages, the displaced people, and the suffering was extremely deep. He wrote such immortal works as Li San and Three Farewells.
After that, he went to Sichuan and wrote Delighting in Rain on a Spring Night, The Autumn Wind in the Hut, The Yellow River was Recovered by the Imperial Army, and so on. Later, I bought a boat out of Sichuan, lived in Changsha, suffered from poverty and illness, and died on the boat back to the Central Plains.
Du Fu wrote more than 1400 poems in his life, many of which are famous works that have been passed down through the ages.
Thirdly, Du Fu is good at classical poetry and metrical poetry, but his styles are diverse, which has made great contributions to the innovative development of poetry. For example, he is the pioneer of Han Yuefu's poetic style. His Yuefu poems contributed to the development of the new Yuefu movement in the middle Tang Dynasty. His "May 7th" ancient novel, which is also a history of poetry, begins to narrate and focus on the whole story, marking the high achievement of China's poetry art. Du Fu also showed extraordinary creativity in the May 7th law, and accumulated complete artistic experience in the aspects of temperament, antithesis, refining words and sentences, which made this genre reach a fully mature stage.
