Pipa story

Yuan dynasty, brilliant.

I turn my heart to the bright moon, which shines on the ditch.

The fallen petal intentionally follows the flowing water, and the flowing water has no beloved fallen petal.

Interpretation of vernacular Chinese:

Why does my heart belong to the bright moon, but the bright moon shines on the stinking ditch and sewer?

The falling petals float away with the running water, but the running water has no mind to watch the petals fall into the water.

Moral:

It means that I am kind to you, but you are cold and ungrateful. It is that my sincere efforts have not been rewarded and respected.

Extended data:

Pipa Story was written in Yuan Dynasty. It tells the joys and sorrows of scholars Cai and Zhao Wuniang in the Han Dynasty, with a total of 42 volumes.

This work is a work to persuade loyalty and filial piety, and it is also a work with rich ideological and polysemy. In thousands of years of ancient society, the social moral concepts such as loyalty, filial piety and righteousness, which have been formed and gradually developed by the Chinese nation for a long time, have both good and bad elements, and so does filial piety in ancient times.

There are some foolish filial piety in ancient times, such as "the father wants his son to die, and the son is unfilial if he doesn't die" or "cutting shares to save his mother", which are all bad.

It is good to have parents who love their parents and do good deeds, so as to repay their kindness and let them spend their old age safely.

Pipa Story is intended to carry forward filial piety, the good side of filial piety and the excellent morality of the Chinese nation, which is of great practical significance to the construction of socialist spiritual civilization today.
