According to reports, Fengyun-3 E satellite, as the second generation polar orbit meteorological satellite in China, is the world's first civil morning and evening orbit meteorological satellite, and also the Fengyun series meteorological satellite 19, which will be networked with Fengyun-3 C and D satellites in orbit. Therefore, China has become the only country in the world that has the ability to observe three orbiting meteorological satellites simultaneously in the morning, afternoon and morning-dusk, which even the United States has failed to do. After the three satellites are networked, they can provide complete global coverage data for numerical forecasting every six hours, which effectively improves the accuracy and timeliness of global numerical weather forecasting and is of great significance for improving the global Earth observation system.

All units should do a solid job in the on-orbit test of Fengyun-3 E-Star, organize it accurately, cooperate sincerely, and give full play to the application benefits of Fengyun-3 E-Star as soon as possible. Yang Jun, chief designer of Fengyun meteorological satellite project of China Meteorological Bureau, said that the design life of Fengyun-3 E satellite will be increased from five years to eight years, which is beneficial to maximize the capacity of satellite platform, improve the reliability, stability and detection accuracy of load, and give full play to the benefits of satellite application.
