Was the name of North Korea played by the Ming Dynasty or by Zhu Yuanzhang?

Li Chenggui, the "Emperor of Korea" and "King Kang Xian" in history, overthrew the regime of King Koryo and surrendered to the Ming Dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang took the meaning of "the bright country of Asahi" and named it North Korea.

However, the name Korea appeared much earlier. As recorded in Historical Records of Korea Biography, as early as the Zhou Wuwang period, Shang Zhouwang's uncle Ji Zi established a vassal state in Pyongyang, which was called "Korea" by Zhou Wuwang and "Jizi Korea" by history.

During the peasant uprising at the end of Qin Dynasty, Wei Man, a Yan man, came to Korea to be a doctor. At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, Wei Man usurped power and became king himself. The country name was still Korea, which was called "Wei's Korea" in history. After the defeat of the Korean king, he fled to Mahan in the south of the Korean peninsula. Wei's Korea existed for nearly 90 years before and after, and was destroyed by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty in 107 BC. In the Han Dynasty, the county ruled in the former site of Weishi Korea, creating a splendid "Le Lang culture".
