A poem describes that what you get is not what you want.

1, the original poem:

Lifelong mistake

Cao Xueqin

All roads are good marriages. I have only seen the alliance before Mushi.

Facing the sky, the nobles in the mountains are crystal clear with snow; I will never forget the lonely forest in the world.

Alas, the only fly in the ointment is today's letter: even Qi Mei's case is hard to settle.

2. Precautions:

(1) Jinyuliangyin: refers to the marriage between Baoyu and Baochai. In the novel, it is written that Xue Baochai's gold lock was "given by the monk", and the two auspicious words engraved on it are "a pair of seals carved by the monk" and "a pair" on the psychic jade that Jia Baoyu got when he was born. Aunt Xue also said, "The golden lock was given by a monk. Only when there is jade in the future can you get married. " Those who hold the "anti-feudalism theory of a dream of red mansions" believe that this marriage is a so-called happy marriage that conforms to the feudal order and the interests of feudal families. Jin Yu: semantic pun, which is both valuable and refers to Baochai and Baoyu. Wood and stone, meaning pun, are opposite to "golden jade" and refer to Daiyu and Baoyu.

(2) Pre-alliance between wood and stone: the antonym of "good marriage" refers to the love between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu due to their previous alliance. The author fictionalized the old love story of Bao and Dai before their death: the crimson pearl grass rewarded the waiter with wine and wanted to "return his life with tears." These two sentences are similar to what Baoyu once shouted in his dream, "What is a good marriage? I prefer to say that it is a good marriage between wood and stone" (the 36th time), but "I only look at the alliance between wood and stone" should be a copy of what Baoyu said after marriage. Those who hold the "anti-feudalism theory of a dream of red mansions" believe that Bao Dai's love affair is based on * * * resisting feudal ethics.

(3) The sentence of "empty pair" means that although Baoyu and Baochai are husband and wife, they have no love. Snow, homophonic with "Xue", refers to Xue Baochai, which also means its coldness. Gao Shi, a gentle person, refers to Baochai. The author compares Baochai to a "scholar in the mountains", which shows Baochai's noble character.

(4) The sentence of "Xanadu": "Xanadu" means that Lin Daiyu was originally a crimson pearl fairy. What is hidden here is that she is dead, that is, she has been registered as an immortal. Hey, beauty. Lin means Lin Daiyu.

(5) Sigh on Earth: This is Baoyu's sigh about his two love relationships with Baochai and Daiyu: Until today, I finally believe that things on earth are always flawed.

(6) Qi Mei case: According to Liang Hongchuan, Hongliang was born in a poor family, but his wife Meng Guang was very respectful to him. Every time she gives him food, she will raise the food tray to the height of her eyebrows. Later, Qi Mei was regarded as a model of feudal women's morality. Here, Baoyu and Baochai maintain the ceremony of mutual respect between husband and wife on the surface. Although Baochai treated Baoyu well, Baoyu refused to let Daiyu go, saying, "It's hard to end peacefully." Keith, there are enough small plates.

3. Expand:

This song is about Baoyu, Baochai and Daiyu.

It turns out that the names of Qupai are fixed, such as "goat" and "parasitic grass", and the lyrics are written according to their formats. These titles of A Dream of Red Mansions are all improvised by the author, which are not only like qupai, but also a summary or hint of the content. Just like the title of this song "A lifetime's fault", it is the feeling of love tragedy between Bao and Dai, which can be regarded as the title of the song.

The "An" in the song is of course Baoyu. When the Xue family arrived at the mansion, there was a public opinion that Baochai's golden lock was given by a monk, saying that "only when you have jade in the future can you get married". Baochai has all the "virtues" of feudal women. She is more in line with the standards of a rich family than Daiyu. Whether she intends to fight or not, she is the winner.

But Baoyu is only interested in Sister Lin who grew up together. The thirty-sixth time, Baoyu repeatedly shouted curses in his sleep: "How can you believe what monks and Taoists say?" What is a good marriage? I am partial to marriage! "Bao and Dai are like-minded, and they have established immortal love in the long-term life of Grand View Garden.

It is a common marriage tragedy in feudal times, and aristocratic society is no exception. Daiyu spent a short life in tears in that "prosperous land of flowers and willows, a warm and rich town" and died. Baoyu married his younger sister Lengbao. What happiness can a marriage without love have? His unforgettable love for Daiyu tormented him all the time. His dear sisters were either dead or scattered, and all of them were thrown into the dark abyss.

He was completely disillusioned with the world and finally decided to "pull back from the brink" and become a monk. He had to give up. Baochai is a lonely and desolate loser who can't stand the time. The love tragedy of Bao, Chai and Dai is essentially a social tragedy.
