Two Poems of Farewell to Dong Da
Tang Dynasty:
The sky is high and the yellow clouds are white and the sky is thousands of miles away, and the north wind is blowing the wild geese and the snow is falling.
Don’t worry, there will be no friends in the future. No one in the world will know you.
Liu Fei fluttered and felt sorry for himself. He left Beijing and Luo for more than ten years.
My husband is poor and lowly, so there is no money for drinks when we meet today.
"Two Poems of Farewell to Dong Da" is a collection of poems by Gao Shi, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. These two poems are the poet's farewell work with Dong Da after a long separation. After a short reunion, they went their separate ways. The first poem outlines the dark and cold scene of farewell, showing the difficult and unfavorable situation the poet was in at that time. It not only reveals the author's reluctant farewell to his friend's long journey, but also shows the poet's heroic and open-minded attitude. The second poem describes how an old friend met and didn't even have money to buy wine. He was extremely poor, but the poet did not feel depressed or sinking because of this. Instead, he thought of flying high, and his generosity and boldness could not be concealed. The language of the whole poem is simple and the style is heroic.
