Poems about seeing through the world of mortals

Lisi

Author: Yuan Zhen

Once I tasted the vast sea, I felt that the water in other places was pale; Once you have experienced the clouds in Wushan, you feel that the clouds elsewhere are eclipsed.

Hurried through the flowers, lazy to look back; This reason is partly because of the ascetic monk, and partly because of who you used to be.

The poem means: After experiencing the vastness of the sea, you will no longer be attracted by other waters. After the lingering sex in Wushan, the scenery elsewhere is not called sex. Walking among the flowers, I didn't care to see the flowers bloom, partly because I am a monk and partly because I can't forget you.

Bodhi theory

Author: Hui Neng

Bodhi trees have no trees, and the mirror platform is not a platform.

Buddha's nature is always pure, where can there be dust?

Poems praising monks in Shunzhi:

I was happy when I came, sad when I left, and walked around empty.

It is better not to come or go, there is no joy or sadness.

Floating life is like an illusion, and the past is like a cloud.

Half-life fate is prosperous and bitter, and the moon in the water is in the mirror.
