Among them, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, FAW Toyota, FAW-Volkswagen, Dongfeng Honda, Baojun and other car companies have started online car viewing, online car booking and other services. Even if conditions permit, some car companies can provide customers with free door-to-door test drive and car delivery services, so that everyone can buy a new car without leaving home.

In fact, long before the outbreak of the epidemic, many automobile brands started their own online shopping malls, allowing consumers to see cars and buy cars without leaving home. However, as a bulk product, many people still need to go to 4S stores for specific understanding and experience before buying, so online car buying has been tepid. Nowadays, with the arrival of the epidemic, people can't go out, and many people choose to buy cars online. Faced with this change in consumption pattern, most car companies have improved the online shopping mall, making it more specific and subdivided, so that consumers can experience more standardized professional services.

The coverage of automated manufacturing is expanding.

With the increase of labor costs, the proportion of automation in automobile production enterprises is on the rise, which shows the importance of automation in this epidemic.

Imagine, if the automobile factory has a high degree of automation in the face of sudden epidemic, then why should we be afraid of the risk of epidemic spread caused by crowd gathering?

Compared with OEMs, the automation level of most auto parts factories is low at present, and some links still need manual intervention many times. Although most existing automation schemes are based on existing equipment types, not all enterprises have the determination and courage.

Because of this sudden epidemic, automation has once again been placed in front of all related enterprises in automobile manufacturing. It also caused the whole automobile manufacturing industry chain to re-examine the investment return formula of manufacturing automation. Considering the proportion of personnel factors, the benefits of automation will undoubtedly be infinitely magnified, thus driving the whole industrial chain of automobile manufacturing to accelerate automation.

Accelerate the global or multi-site layout of car companies.

With the transformation of China automobile market from incremental market to stock market, it is a new direction to export and explore overseas markets.

Among independent brands, Great Wall, Geely, Chery, SAIC, BAIC and other independent brands have set off a tide of "going out to sea" and achieved remarkable results. However, at the beginning of 2020, affected by the new pneumonia epidemic, many countries issued access control measures to China, which hindered China automobile enterprises from expanding overseas markets and increased the difficulty of automobile export. At the same time, the overseas supply of auto parts was once out of stock.

In recent years, the export areas of China's own brands are beginning to penetrate from developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America to developed countries in Europe and America; Export models have changed from cheap low-end models to mid-to high-end cars and SUVs. At this stage, the independent automobile enterprises go to sea from the previous mode of exporting vehicle parts and assembling them locally to the mode of building factories overseas, purchasing parts locally and producing and selling them.

The advantages of multi-point flowering are highlighted in this sudden situation. In the face of different situations affected by the epidemic in different regions, it can be adjusted appropriately so as not to be completely stagnant. I believe that after this time, more car companies will consider accelerating the development of a broader production capacity layout.

The air inside the car puts forward a higher standard.

For a long time, the interior environment is not an important measure for consumers to choose a car. However, when smog appeared a few years ago, more people realized that dust prevention in the car was inevitable. Now many new car air conditioning systems have been equipped with air purification function, and this selling point is valued by more and more people.

Then, the case of formaldehyde emission exceeding the standard of some brand new cars was once again pushed to the forefront. Nowadays, with the popularity of mask protection standards in the epidemic situation, some manufacturers have taken "N95 class" air filtration as an upgrade project for the New Year. It is not difficult to imagine that after the epidemic, people's awareness of environmental protection in the car will reach a new height. It is unknown whether the state will introduce corresponding stricter standards, but it is certain that automobile companies will respond positively to the things that consumers are most concerned about.

China's automobile industry will inevitably face new challenges in the transition period, which is likely to be a blowout in sales volume, and more likely to be a new demand and new standard for consumer demand and technological progress. In any case, the short-term epidemic crisis will not hinder the development of the automobile industry, but will become a catalyst on the way forward and accelerate the all-round development of the industrial structure.
