Li Bai and Du Fu are collectively known as "Big Li and Du".
Li Bai, the "Immortal of Poetry", and Du Fu, the "Sage of Poetry", are collectively called "Li Du". Later, he was distinguished between Li Shangyin and Du Mu, and was called "Da Li Du".
In the Tang Dynasty, Li and Du were both famous, sharing the reputation of "Poetry Immortal" and "Poetry Saint"; however, their personalities and poetic styles were completely different. If Li Bai is a wild and unruly horse, then Du Fu is a bullock that bears a heavy load. Du Fu's poetic style is mature and steady, full of realism. The Anshi Rebellion was the most painful experience in Du Fu's life. His poems during this period focused on the suffering of the people. "If the words are not shocking, they will never stop." Both ancient and modern poems are in wonderful situations, and their poems are passionate, deep and solemn in style.
