Poems by A Qing scholar Huang Daorang.

On Yuelu Mountain, the couplet inscribed by Anfu (now Linli) Huang Daorang, "Clouds come from the southwest, and the river rings down the Dongting Lake day and night", has been circulated since the Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty, and has been touching for more than a hundred years. This couplet was originally embedded in Wangxiang Pavilion in orange island, the middle reaches of Xiangjiang River, but was later destroyed by soldiers. During the Guangxu period, when Yunlu Palace was rebuilt, it was hung in front of the palace with Grandmother Jia. (The original couplet was written by Tao Rang and lost. Now the wooden couplets carved on the pillars of Love Evening Pavilion are Daozhou He's books.

In retrospect, how many students and people with lofty ideals climbed Yuelu Mountain, strolled in Yunlu Palace, looked at the beautiful valley, the star city in the east, Yuelu Mountain in the south, Xiaoxiang Mountain peaks in the west and listened to the waves of Xiangjiang River in the north. The victory of Dongting seems to be vivid and refreshing, and it is deeply impressed by the conciseness of the famous association. There are only a few figures covering the vast scenery between heaven and earth, which makes people feel that their hearts are suddenly enlightened, as if they are sweating all over.
