The original translation name of Guanyin is Guanyin, which is a free translation of Sanskrit "A Tie Lu Zhi's logic of low humidity cutting", which means "you can immediately remove the sound at first sight". In the Tang Dynasty, in order to avoid Taizong Li Shimin, the word "world" was removed, so it was called Guanyin for short.

Guanyin is a very worshipped bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism. Almost all Buddhist temples in China have Guanyin statues, and there are also many worshippers of Guanyin among the people. For example, Tiantai Sect and Tantric Sect of Buddhism spread "six Guanyin" respectively, and Zen also shaped various Guanyin statues.
