Furong Spring is located in front of the residential courtyard at No. 69 Furong Street, Jinan. It is a rectangular pool built with stones, 10 meters long, 5 meters wide and 3 meters deep. There is a stone bridge across the middle of the pool and granite on the north side of the pool. On the stone railings, on the south wall of the pool are engraved the stele "Furong Spring" written by the famous calligrapher Wei Qihou and the poem "Furong Spring" written by Yan Bi of the Ming Dynasty. Hibiscus is also another name for lotus in ancient times. In the Qing Dynasty, a hibiscus pavilion was built beside the spring. I don’t know who named the hibiscus pavilion after it. Dong Yun, a poet of the Qing Dynasty, once lived here and wrote a poem called "Furong Spring Residence". At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, a section of spring water stream from Furong Spring to Panchi was known as "Tiyun Creek".
