Translation: When selecting officials, the children of bureaucrats are given priority. They all want to find ways and shortcuts to take advantage of the spring breeze. Like peach and plum blossoms, it is difficult to maintain their beauty and glory for a long time. They don't know that the sweet-scented osmanthus trees on Nanshan Mountain have green leaves all year round.
2. "There is a tree" by Bai Juyi in the Tang Dynasty
There is a tree named Dangui, which has a fragrant fragrance all year round. The flowers are bright with snow at night, and the leaves are green with clouds in spring.
The shadow of the wind is as clear as water, and the frosty branches are as cold as jade. It occupies the secluded hills and does not allow ordinary birds to stay.
Translation: There is a plant called Dangui, which has a sour aroma all year round. The flowers are as bright as night snow, and the leaves are as green as spring clouds. The figure facing the wind is as clear as water, and the branches with frost are as pure as jade. Occupying the tranquility of the hill alone, no vulgar birds are allowed to rest.
3. "Birdsong Stream" by Wang Wei of the Tang Dynasty
The people are idle, the osmanthus flowers are falling, the night is quiet and the spring mountains are empty.
When the moon comes out, birds startle the mountains, and they sing in the spring stream.
Translation: There are few people moving and only the sweet-scented osmanthus falls silently. At night, the valley is quiet and empty in spring. The bright moon rises and shines brightly, startling the birds in the mountains, flying high and chirping in the spring stream from time to time.
4. "Guizi on the Night of August 15th in Tianzhu Temple" Tang Dynasty Pi Rixiu
A jade stone falls under the moon wheel, and a new dew is found in front of the temple.
Nothing happens in heaven so far, it should be thrown to people by Chang'e.
Translation: Osmanthus flowers fall from the sky, just like falling from the moon. Picking up the sweet-scented osmanthus in front of the temple, I saw that its color was white and fresh. I still don’t understand why Wu Gang has trouble with the osmanthus tree. This sweet-scented osmanthus was probably scattered by Chang'e and given to everyone.
5. "Yong Gui" Yang Wanli of the Song Dynasty
It is not a human species, but came from the middle of the moon.
The fragrance of Guanghan is a little more fragrant, and the whole mountain is blown into bloom.
