San Jie huo Zhai

Once upon a time, there was a big country. There is a big village near the capital. There is a rich old man in the village. Old people are old and weak, but their wealth is immeasurable, farmland houses are widely distributed, and slaves are in groups. The old man's manor is vast and has many houses, but there is only one door in and out. The old man's family is well-off, and four or five hundred family members live in this manor. However, due to the long construction period, the halls and pavilions are in disrepair, the walls are damaged, the roots of columns are corrupt, and the beams and columns are about to collapse, so the danger is imminent.

There is no guarantee in the three realms, just like a fire room, full of hardships and horrors —— The scene shown by Datura in The Analects of Confucius in the Goblet of Fire

One day, the manor suddenly caught fire and the house began to burn, but twenty or thirty young and ignorant children of the elders were still playing in the burning manor house. Seeing the fire spreading everywhere, the elders were terrified and couldn't help thinking: although I can escape safely from the burning manor gate, my children are still in the burning house, addicted to playing, but they don't know that the fire is approaching and disaster is coming! They are not scared at all, as if nothing had happened, and they have no idea of asking for help or running away. Although I am old, I still have strength. Maybe I can save them from the fire house through hard work. But on second thought, there is only one manor, and the doorway is narrow, and the children are still young, which is not easy. In addition, I am obsessed with playing, and the game is jumping around. If I'm not careful, I'll be burned by fire. I should explain to them the benefits of fire. The house has burned down and will soon collapse. I should seize the opportunity to escape from the manor gate so as not to be burned to death by the fire. Old people use metaphors to illustrate their interests and use kind words to induce them to run out of the house at once. However, children don't believe the old man's advice and don't panic and fear. Still addicted to entertainment, there is no intention of running out. I don't know what a fire is, and what kind of disaster will be caused by burning down the house. I just run around and look back at my father from time to time.

The old man was worried that the house was on fire. If my children and I don't run out of the manor in time, it will be swallowed up by the fire. Now I have to think of a convenient and ingenious way to get the children out of the fire scene. The old man suddenly remembered the child's usual hobbies, like all kinds of expensive toys and strange things. He shouted to the children loudly: "There are your favorite treasures and playthings outside, which are strange. Go and get it back! If you don't accept it, you will regret it in the future. There are many sheep carts, deer carts and ox carts outside the manor. You can play games. Why did you stay in the burning house? Get out of here! As long as you like, I will give you all these precious toys, sheep carts, deer carts and ox carts. "

At this time, the children heard their father say that there are all kinds of strange things here, such as sheep carts, deer carts and ox carts, which everyone hopes to get. So they rushed to the door and ran out of the burning manor.

When the elders saw their children running out of the burning house and all escaped safely, they all breathed a sigh of relief and sat on the floor of the intersection at the entrance of the manor, feeling excited and happy. At this time, the children said to their elders, "Give us the foreign toys my father just promised, such as sheep carts, deer carts and ox carts!" "

The elders said to their children, "now I won't give you those gadgets, lamb carts, deer carts and calf carts." I will give each of you a big ox cart. This ox cart is decorated with all kinds of treasures, surrounded by railings and wind chimes, with a canopy on the roof, and colorful ribbons hanging down. The car is covered with gorgeous bedding and red soft pillows. Put this gorgeous car on a big white cow with smooth skin, strong body, strong hooves, steady pace and running like the wind. Let the servant drive, serve you and protect you. I'll give you this seven treasures big white ox cart. Do you like it? "

The children said in unison, "We like it very much!"

The children got on the bus happily. They have never seen such a gorgeous big white ox cart. Today they can ride such a good big white ox cart, which they didn't expect at first.

After telling the story, Sakyamuni said to the four disciples and Sharifutsu, "Sharifutsu lured his children out of the fire with three carts of sheep, deer and cattle, just like the rich old man, and then gave them to the big white ox cart. The bus is solemnly decorated with all kinds of treasures, which are safe and unparalleled, while the rich and the elderly do not make false statements. The same is true of Buddha, no nonsense. The Buddha first said that hearing, feeling and bodhisattva guide all beings, and then freed all beings with the wonderful meaning of Mahayana-Hokkeyo. Why are you doing this? Buddha has boundless true wisdom, ten powers, four fearlessness and boundless dharma. Mahayana practice can show all beings how to become Buddha, but not all beings can accept it. Sharifutsu, you should know by now that it is precisely because of this karma that the Buddha described this unique Mahayana as a three-degree Mahayana in various convenient and ingenious ways, that is, sound, edge and bodhisattva.
