Last minute midnight, Hong Kong.

Let me hold your hand,

Listen to the last minute storm.

Listening to your approaching footsteps,

Listen to the heartbeat and inquiries of all China people.

last minute

This is the shape of a flag,

Is the red rising slowly between heaven and earth,

This is the flagpole-the upright backbone of China people.

Is unfolding, the land and sky of Hong Kong,

This is a moment of silence for everyone to celebrate.

His trembling lips remained silent,

Who is crying over and over again?

Gently calling the name:

Hong Kong, Hong Kong, our hearts!

I saw it,

The last wisp of smoke over mankind,

At the last moment after a hundred years, it finally disappeared;

Shredded history textbooks,

On page 1997 of the eighth five-year plan,

The face of the city, the face with yellow skin,

What is slowly flowing-a hundred years of pain and happiness,

Through these tears,

The sea is boiling!

It's midnight and early morning,

All eyes are brand-new sunrises,

All salutes are the bells of the century.

Hong Kong, let me hold your hand tightly.

Listen to the last minute of wind and rain,

Then run, hug,

To welcome fresh dew,

The first bauhinia tree rooted deep in the earth ......

Last minute text appreciation The whole poem has four sections.

The first section is the introduction of the whole poem. The author personifies Hong Kong, just like talking to relatives. "Listen to the last minute storm." Like all China people, the author warmly welcomes the historic moment of Hongkong's return to the motherland.

The second part expresses people's excitement and pride when they watch the national flag of China and the national flag of Ran Ran, the regional flag of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This emotion is truly expressed through some close-up descriptions, such as "flags", "flagpoles", "silent scenes", "slightly trembling lips" and "crying softly over and over again with tears". The third part is mainly the author's association with the humiliating history of Hong Kong, the unequal treaties imposed on China since the Opium War, and the expression of joy at present.

The fourth part is that Hong Kong has since opened a new chapter in history. The author expressed his warm welcome to Hong Kong's return to the motherland and his deep wishes for Hong Kong's bright future in passionate language.
