The original sentence of the poem "I am drunk alone" is: everyone is awake and I am drunk alone. This poem is from Drunkenness and Awakening by Chou Yuan, a poet in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty.
Brief introduction of poet Chou Yuan:
Chou Yuan (1247 ~ 1326) was born in Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang). Because he lives in Qiushan, Yuhang Creek, he is called Mr. Mountain Village. A writer and calligrapher in Yuan Dynasty. During Yuan Dade's reign (1297~ 1307), he was appointed as a professor of Confucianism in Liyang at the age of 58, and soon came back, thus ending in melancholy.
Yuan Qiu wrote six volumes of Jin Yuan Ji, all of which were written by Liyang officials and compiled by Qing people in Yongle Dadian. There are also Guan Xing Ji and Shan Cun Yi Ji, which were compiled by Qing Chang and were incomplete.
According to the poet Fang Hui, when he was forty-one years old, he said, "Being friends with the Wulin and hating being close to others, he wrote poems early rather than at night, with more than 2,000 manuscripts." It seems that Zhou Yuan's works have been lost so far. Music without strings is a collection of words mainly about scenery and things.
Chen Shi is a note novel with concise words, some of which are fluent and interesting. Tao in Ming Dynasty also made a special exposition on Zhou Yuan's calligraphy in Historical Records. Said Qiu Yuan's regular script learning Ou Yangxun, ok, the grass is not bad. There are seven-character poems handed down from ancient times.
