What does "There is no trace of wings left in the sky, but the bird has flown" mean?

There are no traces of birds flying in the sky, but birds did fly in this sky.

"Fireflies", a prose poem by Rabindranath Tagore

Full text of "Fireflies":

Little flowing fireflies, in the woods, in the dark twilight,< /p>

How joyfully you spread your wings!

You poured out your heart in joy.

You are not the sun, you are not the moon.

Does it mean you have less fun?

You have completed your existence,

You have lit your own lamp;

Everything you have is your own,

You owe no debt to anyone;

You simply obey,

the strength within you.

You have broken through the shackles of darkness,

You are small, but you are not small,

Because of all the light in the universe,

They are all your relatives.

Ignite yourself in the dark night sky and send a ray of light to you in the distance.

All the happiness comes from the burning me and the blurred you in the dark night. Extended information

Tagore’s poems had been translated into Chinese sporadically long before the May 4th Movement. Originally, Chen Duxiu's four five-character ancient-style translations of "Hymns" were selected from "Jitan Jiaoli". After that are Liu Bannong's four selected vernacular translations from "New Moon Collection". The first Chinese poetry collection was "The Birds" translated by Siti. He has written plays such as "The Cycle of Spring", "The Post Office" and "Red Oleander".

Since then, various translations, introductions, and reviews of Tagore's works have continued to appear, especially around Tagore's visit to China in 1924. Since the publication of "The Collection of Flying Birds", a short poem expressing random thoughts has become popular in the Chinese poetry circle.

For example, "Stars" and "Spring Water" by Bing Xin. Many of them contain philosophical, crystal clear and beautiful poems and have won the love of many people. There are many imitations of rolling. It almost influenced the style of poetry of a generation.
