Gu Rong Lane is located in the east of the middle section of Jingting Lane, West Street, Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, with a total length of about 200 meters.
At the beginning of Qianlong, this alley was called "backstreet", and it was not until Guangxu period that it was collectively called Gu Rongli, including the old inn. According to records in Jinjiang County Records and Streets and Alleys in the City of Qing Daoguang, there is no name for the ancient banyan lane. The origin of the name of the alley should be related to the ancient banyan palace that once existed in the alley. Gu Rong Palace is located in the west section of Gu Rong Lane, with a mixed structure of brick, wood and stone, with two entrances and three exits, covering an area of about 300 square meters. Although there is no name of Gurong Hutong in Jinjiang County Records of Qing Daoguang, the location of Gurong Palace is marked on the city map, indicating that this hutong is named after the palace.
Gu Rong Lane has a profound cultural background and numerous landscapes. There are yamen ruins, Xuande Mansion in Ming Dynasty, Xubangguang Mansion in Jiaqing Hanlin in Qing Dynasty, Tianjing Xiaozi Temple, Gong Ancestral Temple, Zhuge Prime Minister Ancestral Temple, Zhan Ancestral Temple and a series of large buildings built after getting rich from business in modern times.
