According to the inscription written by Zhu Shide himself on the tablet, Zhu Yuanzhang was a native of Jurong, Jinling (now jurong city, Jiangsu), and his ancestral home was a native of Tongde Township. Zhu Yuanzhang lived on agriculture for generations.
