Main scenic spots of Lingshan Buddha in Jiangsu Province

Jiulong irrigation bath

According to the Buddhist classic Benjing, Buddha Sakyamuni was able to talk and walk when he was born. He took seven steps in four directions, southeast and northwest, and with each step, a lotus bloomed on the ground. Pointing to the sky and pointing to the ground, he said, "Only heaven and earth respect me." At this time, two pools of water suddenly appeared in the garden, and nine dragons appeared in the sky, spitting out water columns and bathing themselves.

This story is magical and thought-provoking. What is even more rare is that lingshan scenic spot's large-scale music dynamic group sculpture "Bathing in Kowloon, Seeing Buddha bloom" reproduces the gorgeous scene in the story. In Kowloon Irrigation and Bathing Square, we can see a huge bronze sculpture of lotus in bud standing in front of us. The giant lotus was held up by four mighty Hercules, with a white round marble pool at the bottom, surrounded by nine dragons and eight supporters of different forms.

When the music of "Buddha's Birthday" started, six huge lotus petals slowly opened, and a 7.2-meter-high golden Buddha statue of Prince rose slowly from the lotus. At this time, a water column with a height of tens of meters was ejected from Jiulongkou to bathe the Buddha statue of the Prince. In an instant, drums and music rang in the square, and fountains were in different shapes. The Buddha statue of Prince encircles clockwise in a huge water curtain, symbolizing "bloom sees Buddha" and "Buddha shines brightly". As the music faded, the lotus petals wrapped in the Prince Buddha slowly closed.

At this time, clean water will flow out from the mouths of eight groups of phoenixes around the fountain for everyone to drink. Do you know that?/You know what? This is no ordinary clean water. According to Buddhism, this is the "Ba Ding Shui", which is the "holy water" of Buddhism. When you arrive at Lingshan, you must have a drink or take it home in a bottle. It is said that drinking "Ba Ding Shui" or offering it to Buddha statues can protect you and your family and bring you good luck and peace.

Millennium Ancient Temple Xiangfu Temple

Xiangfu Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. In history, incense flourished and monks came forth in large numbers. Known as "the mountain is connected with Jiuling Mountain, and the law follows benevolence and righteousness". It is said that Genjyo Sanzo, a master in the Tang Dynasty, has been here. Because he saw that the main peak behind the temple was quite similar to Ling jiusan, he named it "Xiaolingshan". Seeing that Master Xuanzang liked this "land of geomantic omen" so much, General Xing Yun invested and built the "Xiaolingshan Temple" at the foot of the mountain, and Kui Ji, Xuanzang's eldest disciple, was the first person to preside over it. Since the Tang Dynasty, this historical story has been widely circulated in the local area. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple was renamed "Xiangfu Temple". However, times have changed, and in the 1930 s, Xiangfu Temple was destroyed by war. After the reform and opening up, this ancient temple with a history of 1300 years was rebuilt and became an important Buddhist holy place along the Taihu Lake. The abbots gathered and the incense was flourishing. The existing ancient wells, lotus ponds and ginkgo plums in the temple have become the remains of history and culture, and they have become the testimony of the Millennium wind and rain of the ancient temple, which makes people feel nostalgic.

Lingshan Jokhang Temple

Lingshan is majestic and solemn. Mr. Zhao Puchu, former vice chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of Chinese Buddhist Association, thinks that lingshan scenic spot and Taihu Lake complement each other, just like the glazed world in Buddhism. So he wrote the poem "The lake is full of clean glass". On the north facade of Zhaobi, there is a poem entitled "Little Lingshan" written by Pu Zhao-"I once visited vultures in Tianzhu, sighing and remembering Fahua. I didn't expect Jiu Feng to fly here, and smallpox was scattered in my house. " This is a poem written by Pu Zhao when he visited lingshan scenic spot in 1997 and saw the solemn and kind Lingshan Buddha and the incense was at its peak. I have been to jiusan, the Indian spirit, where Sakyamuni Buddha once gave lectures, and now it is desolate and sighing. However, lingshan scenic spot's incense reached its peak, reappearing the grand occasion of Ling Jiu Feng that day, just like a vulture flying in. Wuming Bridge is a white marble bridge, which is modeled after Jinshui Bridge in Tiananmen Square and is a beautiful garden bridge. They are: declaration (linguistics), introspective knowledge (logic), introspective knowledge (philosophy), medical prescription (medicine) and skillful work (applied science). Among them, "Naiming" is the highest state after reaching the "four Ming", so we should study the five Ming extensively in order to better serve all beings.
