Why did Huang Taiji change the post-Jin regime to the Qing regime and change the name of the Jurchen nationality to Manchuria?

In order to dilute the memory of Han people's invasion of Song Dynasty by Jin and Nuzhen, and to ease ethnic conflicts.

Why is it called "Qing"

First, cyan said. "The Origin of Manchuria" quotes the poem of Emperor Qianlong, "Angels are emperor Ming, Dadong is the birthplace", and puts forward that five colors with five sides make the east green. However, it seems far-fetched to associate "cyan" with cyan.

Second, the near sound theory. Japanese scholar Kojiro Muramura thinks that the sound of "Jin" is similar to that of "Qing", so changing the original name of Jin to Qing is an alternative to choosing suitable words with similar pronunciation.

Third, Shao Hao said. The General History of Qing Dynasty by Inaba Yanji proposed that Huang Taiji changed gold into Qing Dynasty, which originated from the legend of the stone heaven in Shao Hao. Jin called his father Qing, also known as Tu Qing, and was buried in Qing. Huang taiji compared the state of Jin to the golden heaven of Shao Hao. He worked in the Qing Dynasty, so he adopted the title of "Qing". This not only satisfies the Manchu's attachment to history, but also alleviates the strong hatred of the Han nationality to the "Jin State" since the Song Dynasty.

Fourth, Zhou Shi was ordered to say. In Qing Dynasty, Chunhong Sun Yat-sen thinks that Huang Taiji's change from Jin to Qing is exactly the same as abandoning the old clan name and renaming it "Manchuria", and its significance should be sought from China culture. The last sentence of Shangshu Taishi is "Yongqing Four Seas", the first sentence of The Book of Songs is "Cutting down big merchants is bright", and the first sentence of Zhou Song is "Wei Qing Ji Xi, a scholar, a gentleman and a minister". According to this, "Qing" is a symbol of order, and Huang Taiji may have changed his title in order to attach his career to the great cause.

Fifth, the theory of five elements. According to Fan Wenlan's A Brief History of China, Huang Taiji changed his name because the name of Jin Guo stimulated the national feelings of the Han people, so he banned the name of Nuzhen (Shen Zhu) and renamed it Manchuria. Manchu and Qing dynasties always carried water, but the word "Zhu Ming" written by Jia Zhu-Daming had the meaning of fire, which was in line with the theory of "five elements resisting each other". And because of "fire, gold", the first Jin kingdom was unlucky. Huang taiji took Qing as his country name, which obviously showed his intention to replace Daming.

There are many theories about the origin of "Manchuria". One argument is that "Manchuria" is the homonym of the name of Li Manzhu, the ancestor of Jianzhou Jurchen. The second argument is that due to the rotation of five elements and five virtues in the ancient dynasty of China, the Ming Dynasty was a fire virtue, and the Chinese characters "Man" and "Zhou" were all beside the water character. This practice of Huang taiji is to put out the fire with water to make it clear. The third argument is that Manchuria is a transliteration of "Schumann", which is the name of Manjusri Bodhisattva by Tibetans, and its full name is Shuman Shili Bodhisattva. However, this statement is not recognized by most historians.
