Get rid of fear and meet panic —— Reflections on her strength

On the morning of February 27th, I came to the studio to attend the offline reading meeting of "Her Power" directed by Mr. Fu. When I first entered the studio, I saw all the familiar and unfamiliar faces inside. It is important to see my familiar teacher Fu, like her intellectual and gentle beauty, and give people a warm sense of security.

Compared with the courseware with rich connotations, I prefer the review of "Her Power" written by Teacher Fu before. The language is concise and profound, and the opinions are unique. The first time I read teacher Fu's book review, my heart was severely poked by the opening of the article:

"I like the cover design of" Her Power "very much.

Black cardboard with a colorful butterfly-shaped side on the cover.

On the back cover, it is a small side in the shape of a black and white butterfly. The philosopher Rumi has a poem: You were born with wings, why do you want to crawl forward all your life, like an insect ant?

Can reading this book turn a dull insect ant into a colorful butterfly?

The three questions on the title page really hit home: Why are you still dreaming in the dark like a caterpillar? Why can't you live brilliantly? What prevents you from becoming the person of your dreams? "

"You were born with wings, why do you want to crawl forward all your life, like an insect ant?" I believe many people have asked themselves this question when they see others shining on the stage, but when they are really faced with challenges, they are willing to retreat and hide in their comfort zone to watch others shine, not because they don't want to, but because there are too many self-doubts and self-criticisms that make them lack the courage and strength to act boldly.

When reading this book, I was particularly touched by the fifth chapter "Rational Response to Inner Fear", which also changed my understanding of fear. Fear can be described in two words: fear and panic, which seem similar, but in fact they are different.

Fear refers to the irrational fear caused by making the worst assumptions about the expected things, which is usually manifested in self-criticism and self-doubt.

Panic refers to the inner energy and passion you feel when you listen to your inner voice to pursue your real dreams, which makes you more energetic than before. Panic also includes awe. We are humbly afraid of the greatness and grandeur of the things in front of us, but we should also respect and thank the energy that panic brings to us, just like the protagonist in the movie suddenly discovers that he has super powers, which is incredible.

My personal understanding is that when you try to break through your comfort zone, fear and panic will probably appear at the same time. How can I distinguish them? Fear is more about self-criticism and self-doubt, which will try to persuade you to return to your comfort zone, while panic is more about making you feel an energy and passion, giving you the courage and confidence to act boldly and surpass yourself. I understand fear as a roadblock that prevents me from getting out of my comfort zone and a springboard that helps me jump out of my comfort zone.

Tara Moore knows us in the book. In the face of fear, all we have to do is to see it clearly, manage it well and try to get rid of it, because fear will consume our energy. In the face of panic, we just need to simply welcome it, fully feel it, enjoy it, act boldly with the energy and passion brought by panic, surpass ourselves and become the person you want to be.

There is also a lot about bold action, inner mentor, inner drive, and immediate action is a leap. With her strength, these are worth reading carefully and slowly. I have a special liking for the content of chapter 5, probably because I was preparing for the class reunion when I was reading this book, and I was more or less in close contact with fear and panic in the process. In fact, the feeling of contact panic is really wonderful. As Teacher Ma Ran said, when you are in contact,

Boldness means that we have the courage and wisdom to get rid of fear, meet panic, listen to our inner voice, boldly show our abilities and talents, and live our true selves, such as the gorgeous bloom of summer flowers.
