Thoughts on Visiting Cao Xueqin's Former Residence

Last year 10, I lived in Xiangshan Beixin Village 1 Hospital for one month. At that time, the red leaves in Xiangshan were the most beautiful, so I got two monthly tickets for Xiangshan Park and Botanical Garden. I often go to these two places. The favorite in the Botanical Garden is Cherry Valley, which is a quiet canyon full of natural wild interest. It was once called "the end of water" in Ming Dynasty, and also called "retreating valley" in Qing Dynasty, but it is most famous in the name of "Cherry Valley". "There are thousands of cherry blossoms and spring is burning." This is a poem by predecessors that eulogizes the scenery of cherry ditch. When Yuanbao meandered along the path, he saw a huge stone of strength falling from the sky. Its stone is shaped like an ingot, hence its name. According to folklore, Cao Xueqin, a famous writer in Qing Dynasty, lived in Xishan area in his later years and frequented here. He couldn't put it down, and based on it, he endowed him with magical imagination, conceived it as "psychic Baoyu" and wrote it into his immortal masterpiece A Dream of Red Mansions. The water source is next to the gem, and there is a sweet spring water flowing out of the stone gap, which is the source of the cherry valley stream. The spring water is pure and sweet, and a few drinks are particularly refreshing. The stone carvings on the bank of the spring have the word "mountains and rivers", which makes people feel relaxed and happy and linger. Bailudong Bailudong is located under the meta-gem, with a depth of 6 meters and a length of 2 meters. It can accommodate 10 to 20 people and is a brick bed. Legend has it that a fairy riding a white deer swam here in Liao Dynasty, and the scenery was excellent, so she settled down. Bailuyan and Bailudong are named after this. Not far from the gem, there is a steep boulder, about twenty or thirty feet high. There is a towering Cooper in the crack of the boulder, and its potential to split the boulder in half is amazing. It is said that Cao Xueqin is very interested in "Cypress on the Stone". Inspired by this natural landscape, he finally formed the wonderful idea of "wood-stone marriage" between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu in A Dream of Red Mansions. By road and mountain from the water source, you can reach the peak of "Half-day Yunling" and Black Dragon Pool. Based on the top of the mountain, it's fun from afar.
