Poetry is transmitted through the poetry tube. Is to send poems in containers. Special porcelain tube for bamboo tube or container. Wang Wei lived in seclusion in Wangchuan Villa in his later years, composing poems and singing with Pei Di, the local satrap. Because there are many bamboos in this area, Wang Wei often fills poems with bamboo tubes and exchanges poems with Pei Di. Bai Juyi was appointed as the satrap of Hangzhou, drinking wine and writing poems with local literati during public holidays. The poet Yuan Zhen was then the satrap of Huiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang), and Bai Juyi often sent geisha Gao Linglong and Xie to pass on the poems of both sides with porcelain tubes. Bai Juyi also wrote a poem for this purpose: "In order to send poems to Erzhou, Gao Xie came to send poems."
Poetry on the slate. The Tang Dynasty was the kingdom of poetry, and poetry was worshipped all over the world. People draw a poem board on the wall of scenic spots, commercial shops, hotel stations and other places for passers-by to write poems. It is said that Cui Hao's Yellow Crane Tower and Wang Zhihuan's Heron Tower are both handed down by poems inscribed on stone tablets. Li Bai visited the Yellow Crane Tower and was intoxicated by the scenery in front of him, but he stopped writing poems because "Cui Hao wrote poems on the wall". When poets pass by, people often ask to leave poems on the slate. Li Baiyou visited Hongzhi, and the monk respectfully held a poem board and asked the great poet to write poems. There are many poems, but not many essences, so bad poems are often taken out. The poet Xue Neng visited the pavilion in the middle of Shu and saw that there were "more than 100 monuments" on the pavilion. The poet Xue took all the monuments, leaving only the Wushan High Monument. Liu Yuxi passed the Wushan Temple and took off more than a thousand pieces, leaving only a few dozen pieces.
Seeking poetry on the mountain. Temples are places where hidden dragons crouch tigers, and there are many poets among monks, so some people go to temples to ask for poems. "Mountain monks seal poems and send them, while strangers ask for poems." Some people ask for poems, and the poems of monks can also be circulated in the world. Li Shangyin lived a poor life in the mountains in his later years, and many people begged poems from great poets through various channels. The scholar Kunshan took dozens of pieces of cloth and silk and introduced them to the poet through Li Shangyin's distant relatives. This time Kunshan returned home with a full load, and he got five poems from the poet Willow Branch.
Literati steal poems. Some literati plagiarized the poet's new works in order to get credit. In the imperial examinations in the Tang Dynasty, some literati stole other people's works when they couldn't write good poems. A candidate plagiarized a reference poem by Yang Heng. Yang Heng immediately scolded: "Did you steal the phrase' A crane flies to heaven'?" The man replied, "I know my brother is the most precious sentence, and I dare not steal it." Seeing that his beautiful sentence was not stolen, Yang Heng smiled and said, "I can forgive you." At that time, the society valued Yuan and Bai poems, and their poems were often stolen. Li Shangyin's two sentences, "Carving the moon as a song fan and cutting clouds as a dance costume", were stolen by contemporary Zhang Huaiqing, only adding "love" and "sex" before the two sentences, and they were completely changed. Of course, stealing poetry is immoral, but it also helps the spread of poetry.
Poets sell poems. In ancient times, there was no charge for writing, but there was a "embellishment". You can embellish your pen when writing poetry. After the mid-Tang Dynasty, selling poems was very common, and celebrity poems were of high value. The highest are Bai Juyi and Yuan Zhen. Bai Juyi asked for 100 gold for a poem, and Bai Juyi's Song of Eternal Sorrow was sold to Goulan Opera House for 500 gold. White poetry is so valuable that the value of a geisha who can sing "Song of Eternal Sorrow" has doubled. Li's musicians compete to buy music and then sell it to the opera house. Therefore, Li can be used as a price coupon. Holding Li can be used for drinking and relaxing in Goulan Opera House, and even for transportation and sedan chair. Writing poetry is valuable, arousing the poet's creative enthusiasm and making poetry widely circulated.
Tattoo poem. A poem tattooed on your body can have a stirring effect. In the Tang Dynasty, the magistrate of Yao Ju arrested a criminal named Li Sheng and sentenced him to flogging 100. During the execution, the prisoner took off his clothes and saw some poems tattooed all over his body. After reading it, the county magistrate wrote a four-line poem, which was greatly moved and exempted him from punishment. There was a man named Ge Qing in Jingzhou who "stabbed the poems of Bai Juyi and others to death from the neck down", and some even attached their own paintings, which was called "Bai Juyi painted other people's poems" by people at that time. In the Tang Dynasty, Chang 'an was full of people and gangsters. Wuling is young and poetry is fashionable. Whoever has the poet's new work on him is highly valued and popular among Goulan singers.
There are many publishing channels, but after all, it is simple and it is inevitable that many excellent works will be lost. Unfortunately, famous poets such as How and Wang Zhihuan left only a few poems. This shows that under the conditions at that time, it was very difficult to create and spread poetry!
