The first drunkard in the world: Why did you get into my pants?

Li Bai wrote a famous saying: "sober people and saints throughout the ages have been forgotten, and only great drinkers can be immortalized." Li Bai can be regarded as a Brewmaster who can write such a poem. Du Fu once said that Li Bai "the son of heaven called instead of getting on the boat and called himself Brewmaster."

There have always been many famous drinkers in the world, and I have to mention Ruan Ji, a beautiful man in Wei and Jin Dynasties. Ruan Ji can not only drink it himself, but also the whole family loves it. When it rises, they just throw the cup aside and gather around the jar to drink. At this time, a group of pigs came over, and Ruan Ji's family could also drink with the pigs.

It's a great realm to drink pigs regardless of people. But compared with another celebrity of the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest, Ruan Ji still seems so close. This man, of course, is Liu Ling.

Liu Ling is "the first drunkard in the world" and is known as "the Big Dipper in a wine jar". He recorded in the Book of Jin:

Liu Ling often goes out by coach, taking a pot of wine with him, and letting the servant follow him with a hoe, saying: Where I get drunk, you bury me. Liu Ling completely ignored life and death and put his life behind the glass.

He wrote a parallel prose for wine, called Ode to Wine Virtue. The first paragraph is like this:

If Ruan Ji drinks to pour a lump into his heart, then this Liu Ling is a real drinker. He said there was an adult gentleman. In his eyes, the long time since the creation of heaven and earth is the same as ever, and ten thousand years is just a moment. The sun and the moon are the doors and windows of your home, and the vast distance is your yard. Take the sky as a tent and the ground as a sleeping mat. Holding a glass when you are quiet and a hip flask when you walk, you only regard drinking as an important thing, how can you ignore others!

This ode to wine is very Zhuangzi's style. Its eyes are not on the grass and trees in front of it, and its thoughts transcend the limitations of time and space and only exist with the spirit of heaven and earth. Writing a drunkard is so vast that it is simply a master like a fairy on earth.

Liu Ling himself, like this "Mr. Adult", "down-to-earth, do what you want." He not only drinks heavily, but also has a quirk: he likes to drink naked. At this point, probably influenced by Taoist thought at that time, I also like to take Dan medicine. Besides, I don't leave my mouth. I'm hot and dry. Of course, I'm more comfortable naked.

Liu Ling once said a particularly domineering remark. One day he was sitting at home naked, and when a guest came, he asked him what was wrong, and he was naked. He said: Heaven and earth are my house, and this room is my pants. How did you get into my pants?

Is it domineering enough? ! Let's look at the original text. This passage comes from Shi Shuo Xin Yu Rong Zhi XIV:

Liu Ling, who was drunk all day, was a wild and willful hero, and indeed left his name, which was praised by later generations. But his wife may not think so. After all, life is not a legend, but daily necessities. It's sad enough to think of a stinking husband who is drunk and ruined. Book of Jin Liu Lingchuan records:

Maybe Liu Ling's wife was fed up with her husband's drinking, so she hid all the wine. As soon as Liu Ling became addicted to alcohol, she begged her wife to bring him wine. His wife advised him with tears: you can't live with you if you drink any more. Liu Ling readily promised: Good! It's a little difficult for me to quit drinking by myself. You put some wine and meat, and I'll let the ghost supervise.

Liu Ling's wife is quite naive, even putting wine and meat. However, Liu Ling once said that Liu Ling was born in the name of wine. One glass of wine, one welcome, five games. You don't listen to women and children. After that, I continued to eat large pieces of meat, drank in a big bowl and got drunk again.

Liu Ling is not as handsome as Ji Kang and Ruan Ji. He is less than 1.65 meters tall and ugly. Every day, I take drinking seriously and ask Liu Ling's wife about her psychological shadow area.

Of course, in the troubled times of Wei and Jin Dynasties, Liu Ling's drunkenness also had a recluse component. Liu Ling used to be an official, but she was considered incompetent because she followed the path of Laozi and Zhuangzi. Later, the court sent someone to invite him to be an official in North Korea. Liu Ling was drunk and streaked, and everyone in the court thought he was crazy. Liu Ling was so drunk every day that he lost his life.
