Jiangnan Song: It is an ancient folk song, which mostly describes the living conditions of people in the south of the Yangtze River. Jia: It refers to businessmen. Troupe: refers to young people who are good at swimming.
Since I married a businessman in Qutang, I have postponed the scheduled date of returning to China every time. If I had known earlier that the tide had come and gone on time, I would have been so trustworthy. I might as well marry someone who makes waves. Always in my heart, a merchant woman described in the original poem accused her husband of treachery with the punctuality of the tide.

If I had known that the tides rise and fall regularly and I was very trustworthy, I would have married the young man who appeared on the river on time at high tide. Through the words of the heroine's remorse, this poem euphemistically and vividly expresses the resentment of the merchant young woman against her husband's long absence, her own dishonesty and her inner loneliness and depression.
