Original poem:
Life is easy to get old, but it is hard to get old.
Today is Chongyang, and the yellow flowers in the battlefield are particularly fragrant.
The annual autumn wind is not as strong as spring.
Better than spring, just like Wan Li frost on the vast river.
Translation:
How easy it is to get old in a person's life, but the Double Ninth Festival occurs every year. Today is the Double Ninth Festival, and the chrysanthemums on the battlefield smell good. The autumn wind blows hard year after year, not the glory of spring. But it is better than spring, and there is endless autumn frost on the boundless Tingjiang River.
Literary appreciation
"Autumn is also sad, and the grass is bleak." "Sad Autumn" has become the traditional theme of China's classical poems and poems since Nine Debates by Chu and Song Yu in the Warring States Period. However, the previous poems with the theme of "Double Ninth Festival" used sad, bleak and gloomy autumn scenery to express resentment and inspire hatred, with a word of "sadness".
For example, Wang Wei's "If you know where a brother is crawling from a distance, there will be one less person everywhere" and Du Fu's "Where are brothers and sisters depressed? If you fail in the war, you will thank two people ",Du Mu's" It's hard to laugh when the world opens, and chrysanthemums must be planted everywhere ",Su Shi's" Everything is a dream in the end, take a break, and the yellow flowers and butterflies will be sad tomorrow "and so on.
Or describing the loneliness and cold of traveling in a foreign country, or expressing the sadness and pain of worrying about the country and the people when injured, or expressing the depression and anguish when frustrated, or expressing the feelings of being convicted and relegated, are all "tactfully attached, complaining about grievances and liquidation."
