The whole poem has four sections.
The first section is the introduction of the whole poem. The author personifies Hong Kong, just like talking to relatives. "Listen to the last minute storm." Like all China people, the author warmly welcomes the historic moment of Hongkong's return to the motherland.
The second part expresses people's excitement and pride when they watch the national flag of China and the national flag of Ran Ran, the regional flag of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This emotion is truly expressed through some close-up descriptions, such as "flags", "flagpoles", "silent scenes", "slightly trembling lips" and "crying softly over and over again with tears".
The third part is mainly the author's association with the humiliating history of Hong Kong, the unequal treaties imposed on China by the great powers since the Opium War, and the expression of joy at present.
The fourth part is that Hong Kong has since opened a new chapter in history. The author expressed his warm welcome to Hong Kong's return to the motherland and his deep wishes for Hong Kong's bright future in passionate language.
