Original text:
It seems easier to do than to do.
If I had known, it would have been out of date. Buy more Yan Zhi and paint peonies.
Translation:
On cloudy days, there are many rainy beaches in villages, and the mountain villages are hidden from time to time, and the beach water is swift. It's easy to appreciate the beautiful scenery in the painting, and who knows how difficult it is to draw well. If I knew that people didn't like such beautiful scenery, I should buy more rouge to paint gorgeous peonies.
Extended data:
"Poems on Paintings" is called "Poems on Paintings", which actually only involves the first sentence of the painting itself; The other three sentences are used to express personal feelings and grievances. Its implication is intriguing.
There are only seven words in "Cloudy Smoke Village and Rain Beach", which vividly highlights a vivid picture. The picture is hierarchical and three-dimensional: above is a misty mountain village, and below is a floodplain with heavy rain, static and dynamic, which set each other off.
The scenery in the painting is hazy, but the picture is clear, the mountain village is faintly visible, and the sound of the beach seems audible, which does not give people any obscure feeling. This painting was created through hard mental work.
So the next sentence says, "It's easier said than done." As the saying goes, "it is not difficult to look at people and carry the burden, but it is difficult to do things without going through." This is the philosophy of life that ordinary people understand. Ordinary people are often addicted to debauchery, coveting wealth and lacking real aesthetic ability.
