When I was seventeen or eighteen, I was taught by revolutionaries in Yellow Square in Yan 'an. But I haven't seen him for more than ten years. In the late period of the liberation war, I moved to North China with the army. This is the season when the fighting is in full swing. As a junior cadre, I didn't know that the CPC Central Committee was around.
Finally, an unforgettable day arrived.
It was1September 23, 953, and the second meeting of literary and art representatives was under way. Representatives of the national literary and art circles are sitting in Huairentang, beaming and listening attentively to Premier Zhou's report. The report talked about the third part, the task that literary and art workers struggle for the general line. At that time, it was popular to speak standing, and Premier Zhou also spoke standing. He had a manuscript in his hand, but he didn't read it according to the manuscript, but he spoke vividly, causing bursts of laughter and applause. The faces of the delegates were filled with happiness and joy.
I was sitting in the first ten rows, listening attentively, and suddenly my heart thumped. The Prime Minister made the following remarks:
"... so, we just want to write the outstanding figures among the workers, peasants and soldiers and the ideal figures among them. Who is the cutest person written by Comrade Wei Wei is such a eulogy. Touched millions of readers and inspired the soldiers ahead. We just want to portray these typical characters to promote social progress. At the same time, our idealism should be realistic idealism; Our realism is idealistic realism. The combination of revolutionary realism and revolutionary idealism is socialist realism. "
Premier zhou at this point, in the face of the audience asked:
"Who is Comrade Wei Wei? Please stand up, I want to meet this friend. "
I was only in my thirties at that time. I was a little flustered when I accidentally heard this, and I stood up awkwardly.
"Where did you work before?" He asked me face to face.
I answered in a hurry and sat down at once. Actually, I'm only halfway there.
The Prime Minister smiled and nodded and continued his speech.
This is the highest encouragement I have received in my life, and it is also an example of the Prime Minister's enthusiastic concern for literary and art workers.
Since 1954, I have been elected to the National People's Congress for three consecutive years, and my closeness to the Prime Minister has increased. More than ten years before the "Cultural Revolution", I often attended various reports, symposiums and gatherings of literary and art circles convened by the Prime Minister. Sometimes in Ziguangge, sometimes in Huairentang, sometimes in Xinqiao Hotel, Beijing Hotel and sometimes in Youth Art Theatre. The official report of the Prime Minister is more solemn, while the small meeting is very casual. I remember once in the Youth Art Theatre, he sat there in his overcoat, laughing and talking very easily. Talking about some work-related issues, I asked if Comrade XX had come. The following is the answer. The venue was very lively. This working method of the Prime Minister solved some problems in time. Some deviations were corrected in time.
The Prime Minister's speech is rich in content. In addition to major issues at home and abroad, literary and artistic issues are often mentioned. When we talk about literature and art, we often talk about how to be a revolutionary, how to be a revolutionary literary and art worker and other issues related to the world outlook. His words are warm and kind, like the drizzle of spring breeze, dripping to the ground. It seems that he is not a "head" but a "brother". It should be said that our generation of intellectuals, the older generation of intellectuals, are greatly influenced by his world outlook and are also very profound.
I remember that he once gave a wonderful speech about how to be a revolutionary. He said that to be a good revolutionary, we must establish four viewpoints: the first is the revolutionary viewpoint, the second is the class viewpoint, the third is the mass viewpoint, and the fourth is the dialectical materialism viewpoint. This is undoubtedly the most concise summary of the proletarian world outlook. The Prime Minister has never written a book about self-cultivation. I think these four sentences are the most complete textbooks about party member and revolutionaries' world outlook. Now there is a very bad bias, that is, to despise and blur the Marxist view of class, and even to criticize it in articles. The expansion of class struggle is wrong, but it is different from class viewpoint and must not be confused. Without the concept of class, there would be no Marxism.
They are often entangled in the relationship between public and private-that is, between individuals and collectives. Until today, there are still people who openly defend individualism, and even criticize "selflessness" in the name of criticizing Lin Zexu's "rigidity without desire", thinking that personal desires are the driving force of social development. I think Premier Zhou has made it very clear. He divided people's spiritual realm into four levels: the first category is public and forgetting private, the second category is public before private, the third category is semi-public and semi-private, and the fourth category is selfish. He believes that a revolutionary should pursue a high realm. His inscription to Lei Feng was "public and forget private". But "selfless" and "public forgetting private" can't be achieved by everyone, so "public before private" is put forward. In his speech at 1963 Spring Festival get-together for cultural and artistic workers, he raised the issue of "five customs" (ideological customs, political customs, life customs, family customs and social customs). When talking about Life, he was full of praise for Lei Feng, saying: "Lei Feng's diary embodies the idea of being a group wholeheartedly and is a good diary literature. Living is to be a collective wholeheartedly, asking us to put the public before the private, and sometimes forget the private. " It is reasonable for the Prime Minister to say nothing about individualism and selfishness.
As for the change of the world outlook, the Prime Minister really means well, and I don't know how many times he has said it. "Never too old to learn, never too old to change" is his famous saying, and I don't know how many times I have heard it. This is a very solid concept and an important thought of the Prime Minister all his life. He believes that "everyone should be reformed, people from the old society should be reformed, and people who grew up in the new society should also be reformed, because there are still old things in society. If they are not firm and have no epidemic prevention, they will still be infected and influenced by old ideas, so they should be reformed. Literary and art workers, especially as soul engineers, must master the best ideological tools and artistic tools in order to inspire, inspire and work hard in art appreciation. Therefore, we must transform ourselves and transform for a long time. " The transformation mentioned by the Prime Minister is not aimed at intellectuals, but at the proletariat and party member first. He said: "The proletariat and the bourgeoisie live in a society, and they can't help being influenced by bourgeois thoughts and habits, but also by feudalism. Therefore, the proletariat and the * * * production party should constantly eliminate the influence of non-proletarian thoughts in their own ranks and get rid of old habits. Only those who can transform themselves can transform others. " It can be seen that the Prime Minister attaches great importance to the transformation of the world outlook inside and outside the Party and intellectuals! Thanks to the conscious efforts of intellectuals, great achievements have been made in this work. But once upon a time, I don't know why, few people mentioned "transformation", as if "ideological transformation" was a taboo word. Isn't it thought-provoking that unhealthy tendencies within the party and society have developed so seriously?
1In the summer of 965, the Vietnam War escalated, and the American invaders began to bomb northern Vietnam on a large scale. At this time, Comrade Ba Jin and I were sent to Vietnam as the first batch of China writers. Comrade Liu, who was in charge of the Writers' Association at that time, mentioned to me many times that this was personally appointed by Premier Zhou. At the end of autumn, I came back from Vietnam, and the "Cultural Revolution" began before my trip to Vietnam was over. From then on, I lost my freedom and never saw the Prime Minister again.
The news that the Prime Minister was seriously ill deeply disturbed the people of the whole country. I occasionally see his gaunt face in the newspaper, which really burns my heart. I was in Tianjin when the Prime Minister died, so I didn't see him again. But as soon as I saw the newspaper and reference news of that year, I couldn't help crying. Later, I returned to Beijing and attended the memorial service of the Prime Minister. At first, I tried my best to suppress my grief and was relatively calm, but when I sent the hearse to Babaoshan, I couldn't hold it any longer. I shed tears as long as the ten-mile long street is.
1976 Tomb-Sweeping Day is an unusual day. In the days near Tomb-Sweeping Day, my spirit was in a state of excitement before the war. I decided to disregard the ban and go to Tiananmen Square for three days in a row. In that sea of flowers and people, I feel that I have the responsibility and obligation to act as a small spray. On the pedestal of the Monument to the People's Heroes, I asked my daughter to post her own poems. I don't think it is enough to express my feelings for this great man.
There is no doubt that Zhou Enlai is one of the most outstanding and greatest figures in the modern history of China (and also in the history of China). Before his death, he repeatedly said that there is no perfect person in the world, and there is no one without shortcomings, but relatively speaking, he is indeed a perfect model. He has no selfishness, is infinitely loyal to the party and the people, and has many outstanding talents, noble character and broad mind. He was created by a great era and great struggle, and he always attached importance to self-transformation. It is the pride of our party and the Chinese nation to have such a figure in our party.
As the sun sets, the corner fades; The spiritual wealth of great men can last forever. If we want China to take off and the cause of capitalism to flourish, we must seriously study such figures.
