============================================================
Let's start with the legend of Tiger Hill. This is good-
Legend of Tiger Hill
Tiger Hill is a famous scenic spot in Suzhou. Su Dongpo said that it is a pity not to go to Suzhou Tiger Hill.
1. The lion looked back at Tiger Mountain.
"To the Pavilion" is named after the poem "Four mountains are cool, and tomorrow will come to the west". Qing emperor Kangxi entered the palace in eight years, and Xianfeng was destroyed by fire in ten years. The existing building was built by Xuanleng monk on 1930, which is the tallest building in Tiger Hill. A set of Ming furniture here is very beautiful. Lion Mountain can be seen from a distance. The lion squatted on the ground and looked back at Tiger Hill. This is the famous "Lion Looking Back at Tiger Hill" landscape. There are two kinds of myths and legends about this landscape! One is: He Lv ordered Zhuan Xu to hide in the belly of a fish with a "fish intestine sword", stab Wu Wangliao to death, and then bury him in Lion Mountain; After He Lu's death, his son was buried in Tiger Hill, liger was far away, and his wife died with a grudge. Therefore, there is a saying that the lion glared back at Tiger Hill. There is another legend: Qin Shihuang went to Tiger Hill to dig He Lv's tomb, but he saw a white tiger crouching on the grave, so he drew his sword and stabbed the tiger, but missed it, but stabbed it on a stone, causing it to sink into the pool, that is, the sword pool. Later, the white tiger took the mountain as the king, endangering people and animals. Manjusri Bodhisattva, who used to "hang tin" in Hanshan Temple, was furious because the white tiger did evil in the western Lingshan. As soon as Manjusri Bodhisattva closed her eyes, she sneaked out of the mountain gate and pounced on the tiger hill to kill the white tiger. But the time has come, and he can't return to Manjushri. He fell into the world because he violated Buddhist precepts. When he turned into a stone mountain, the green lion looked back at Tiger Hill angrily. So this mountain is shaped like a lying lion.
2. Pillow stone
According to legend, a famous monk in the Jin Dynasty gave birth to a male monk, who sat on this stone to recite scriptures and slept on this stone when he was tired. This kind of stone is also called "twined stone" because it looks like a twined stone, and this kind of stone used to be sticky, so it can stick to it when thrown. Everyone must be familiar with the story of Tang Bohu Dianchouxiang. It is said that Chou-heung's second smile stayed here. One day, Chou-heung accompanied Mrs Hua to burn incense in Yunyan Temple, Huqiu. Tang Bohu slept on this stone and waited for them to come down. When he woke up, he just saw Chou-heung and Mrs. Hua coming down. At this moment, a gust of wind blew Tang Bohu's hat off the ground. He had an idea, so he didn't have to pick it up and put it on his head. But squatting on the ground.
3. Gong Sheng podium
Gong Sheng was a famous monk Zhu Daosheng in Jin Dynasty in China. At that time, it mainly expounded the Nirvana Sutra, preaching that "the sea of suffering is endless and turning back to the shore, putting down the butcher's knife and becoming a Buddha" and "all beings feel Buddha's nature". However, he was rejected by the old school and expelled from the capital by the northern literati, so he traveled to Tiger Hill and gave lectures here. At that time, there were many people listening to his lectures, about a thousand people sitting around. Next to the stone, you can see the blue words "Thousands of people sit", which was written by Wu Yongzong in Ming Dynasty. However, his views were also rejected by southern literati, so he drove all these listeners away and stopped listening to the scriptures, but Gong Sheng was not discouraged. He sat on a stone and talked to the music left by the audience for three days and three nights. He felt thirsty when he talked about all the wicked people. Among them, a stone suddenly nodded slightly to him, which seemed to indicate that I understood. This stone is the nodding stone seen in the pool. It was in the middle of winter, but the Bai Lianhua in the pool was competing to open, and the water in the pool was full. Therefore, there was a saying that "the pool was full, and the pool was empty", "Gong Yue, the stubborn stone nodded, and the white lotus bloom".
4. Fake Tiger Hill and Real Sword Pool
"Tiger Hill and Sword Pool" are four characters. This was written by Yan Zhenqing, a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. Yan Ti is known as the "Swallowtail of Silkworm Head" and has made great achievements. After he wrote these four words, the word "Tiger Hill" was gradually forgotten after many years. In the Ming Dynasty, Ma Zhijun, the magistrate of Suzhou, ordered Zhang Zhongyu, a famous stone carving master, to describe and carve the word "Tiger Hill", but later generations always thought that the word "Tiger Hill" was not as beautiful as the word "Sword Pool", so there was the saying that "the fake tiger hill is really a sword pool". Maybe everyone will ask, "Why is the word Tiger Hill not as good as the word Sword Pool?" In fact, if you look closely at the tiger roll in Tiger Hill and the sword roll in Sword Pool, you can see the gap between the two characters. The curl of the sword in the sword pool gives people a very smooth feeling, while the curl of the tiger in the tiger hill has an obvious feeling of being stripped of traces. There is also a meaning called "fake tiger hill, real sword pool", which also implies the secret of He Lu's tomb, because the cliffs on the east and west sides of the sword pool are naturally formed, and the back hill of Tiger Hill is artificially built with soil to cover up the tomb of Wu Wang He Lu.
5. The word "sword pool" and the word "change of the forehead"
The two red fonts we saw were "Jianchi", which was said to have been written by Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Wang Xizhi likes raising geese and often observes their dynamic expressions. Some of his strokes were inspired by the bending of the goose's neck. There is also a myth about the word "sword pool". One day, Wang Xizhi visited Tiger Hill and saw two geese in the pond, one black and one white, and he liked them very much. At this time, a mountain monk said to him, as long as you write down the word "sword pool" for me, I will give them to you. Wang Xizhi is very happy. He picked up a pen and wrote these two words here. When he wanted to take the goose home, in a blink of an eye, the monk disappeared. Two geese became Yi Long and a tiger crouched on the top of the mountain, but the word "sword pool" was engraved on this cliff forever. This is the legend of "God Goose Changing Words". On the left of the word Jianchi, there is a poem "He Lv's Tomb" written by Gao Qi in Ming Dynasty, which mainly says that when the tomb of Prince He Lv of Wu was built, 100,000 migrant workers were recruited.
6. Two versions of the renaming of Haiyong Mountain as Tiger Hill
Huqiu, formerly known as Haiyong Mountain, is called "Haiyong Mountain" because it is the sea of Wang Yang in ancient times and there are many small green islands, among which Huqiu Mountain is the shortest. Whenever the tide rises and falls, Huqiu is heavy and looming. On the photo wall of Toushanmen, you can also see the four characters "vicissitudes of life". So why later renamed "Haiyong Mountain" as Tiger Hill? There are two main theories: The first one holds that during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period 2,400 years ago, He Lv, the king of Wu, was accidentally injured in the great war with Yue, and died soon. His son buried him in the tiger hill a few days after his death. It is said that a white tiger squatted on the mountain three days after his death, so it was renamed Tiger Hill. But ordinary people think it looks like a tiger. How can it be like the law? The first mountain gate is the tiger's head, the two wells in front are the eyes, the symmetrical wind wall is the ears, the stone steps by the river are the tiger's teeth, and the yellow building in front, which is the second mountain gate of the tiger hill, is the tiger's throat. The thousand stones on the mountain are the tiger's hips, the towering tiger hill is the tiger's cocked tail, and the whole tiger hill is the hairy body of the tiger. It is like a crouching tiger. Open your mouth to welcome everyone.
7. Mother's grave
Zhen Niang, whose real name is Hu Ruizhen, was a geisha in Suzhou in Tang Dynasty. Born in a scholarly family in Chang 'an, Kyoto. Smart and charming since childhood, able to sing and dance, proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. In order to escape the Anshi rebellion, he fled south with his parents, lost contact with his family on the way, lived in Suzhou, and was deceived to the brothel "Leyun Building" in Shantang Street. Because of her talent and beauty, Zhen Niang quickly became famous for a period of time, but she only entertained herself, not sold herself, and kept her virginity. At that time, there was a rich boy named Wang in Sioux City, with a good personality and some talent. It happened that I fell in love with my real mother in a brothel and wanted to marry her. Because my parents were in charge since childhood, I had to politely refuse. Wang still won't give up. He paid off the procuress with a lot of money and wanted to stay with Zhen Niang. True Niang thought it was difficult to disobey and hanged herself to protect her virginity. When Wang learned of his death, he was very depressed and deeply saddened. Spent a lot of money to bury Zhen Niang in the scenic Tiger Hill, carved a monument to commemorate, planted flowers and trees on the tomb, known as "Hua Zhong", and vowed never to marry again. Every time a scholar goes to his mother's tomb, he feels sorry for the peerless beauty and writes poems on it. Legend has it that jasmine had no fragrance before her real mother died, and her soul attached to flowers after her death. Since then, jasmine has a fragrance, so it is called jasmine, also called sweet soul, and jasmine tea is also called sweet soul tea. Flowers around Tiger Hill use this tea to make jasmine tea.
8. Erxian Pavilion
As the saying goes, "the mountain is not high, and the fairy is not famous." The "Erxian Pavilion" was built in Song Dynasty and rebuilt in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. Looking around this pavilion, we can see that its sculptures are very delicate and vivid. There are two stone tablets in this pavilion with two immortals engraved on them, one is Chen Tuan and the other is Lv Dongbin. Legend has it that one day two immortals were playing chess here, and a woodcutter saw it, so he came to watch them play chess and went home after a game of chess, but no one knew him. Later, people guessed from his clothes that he was thousands of years ago. Therefore, there is a saying that "a chess game played by a fairy is a thousand years in the world". It shows that Tiger Hill is the place where immortals live. There are two couplets in the pavilion. One is: "The dream says that the dream is not a dream, and the yuan in the yuan is yuan." The first part tells the story of Chen Tuan. According to legend, Chen Tuan slept for many years and woke up to meet a woodcutter. The woodcutter told him that it had been several generations, but Chen Tuan didn't believe him and took the woodcutter as a dream figure. The second couplet means the Taoist way, which needs to be obtained by studying subtle and profound truths. Another couplet reads: "Yueyang once had traces to follow; Today, Tiger Hill stayed "means that Lu once appeared in Yueyang Tower and later came to Tiger Hill.
9. Kezhong Pavilion
What we see now is the Kezhong Pavilion. It is said that Song Wendi called monks to dine here, but it was past noon. At that time, the Buddhist commandment was not to eat after noon, so the monks were in a dilemma. At this time, Wendi said it was noon, and everyone invited them to eat, so the monks began to eat. "Kezhong" also means justice in Japan and China. There is a couplet in front of this pavilion, "The stubborn stone listens to the scriptures and has a tacit understanding of Zen;" Famous mountains bury swords, and the victory remains. "I also ordered lectures and hidden swords in the sword pool.
10. Han Han Circle
According to the legend of Hanhan Spring, Hanhan was a famous monk in the Liang Dynasty in China. At that time, his eyes were bad and he suffered from eye diseases, which is now called "cataract". Because of his pity, the abbot of Huqiu Mountain accepted him to carry water for monks, but it was a long way to carry water at that time. Once, because I was tired, I sat here to rest and fell asleep unconsciously. In his dream, he dreamed of a monk. After waking up, he touched the land with his hand and touched some moss here. He thought that moss meant that there must be water underground, so he dug here for about 7749 days with a pole carrying water. Finally, a spring gushed out and cured his eyes. Because he dug this well, he named it "Hanhan Spring". The monks here used to use the water from this well to make our own Baiyun tea in Huqiu. This kind of tea is very fragrant and was rated as the best tea in the world in the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, visitors to our Tiger Hill must taste our tea.
1 1. Sunwu training ground
According to legend, He Lv, the king of Wu, greatly appreciated the Thirteen Articles of the Art of War presented by Sun Wu, and gave him 180 maids to practice the Art of War. Sun Wu divided 180 ladies-in-waiting into two teams, and chose two girls that Lu liked best as captains to practice here. Sun Wu ordered the drums to turn left. These ladies-in-waiting think this is a joke. Sun Wu said: "The military discipline is unclear and the orders are not strict. This time, the general will be in charge. " Then he ordered a right turn and the ladies-in-waiting burst into laughter. Sun Wu said, "The military discipline is clear. If you still don't follow it and listen to the command, the captain should be punished by military law." Ordered the bailiff to behead the two love generals of He Lu. He Lv hurriedly went up to stop him, but Sun Wu said that he was on the battlefield now, and he wanted to listen to my orders. Later we will receive soldiers, and then we will be entertained by the monarch and his subjects. So he beheaded two Ai Ji, and then he chose two maids as captains. After the third call, he moved back and forth, moving accurately, turning left and right without moving a step. This is the origin of the idiom "three orders and five applications". Sun Wu is strict in law enforcement, and the king of Wu also attaches great importance to state affairs and respects Sun Wu more. Sun Wuzi Pavilion was built in memory of Sun Wu. 1985, Comrade Zhang Aiping inscribed the pavilion as "Sun Wuzi Pavilion", and at the same time inscribed "Sun Tzu's Art of War, Defeating the Enemy, Practicing Martial Arts, Stories Spreading", which was engraved on the tablet.
Sun Tzu enjoys an important position in the world military field. He is the first person in the world to practice female soldiers. Sun Tzu's Art of War has become a compulsory course in western military schools and the golden rule of commercial warfare.
12. The origin of Yanghe River
Originally, there were 36 scenes of Tiger Hill, in front of the mountain 18 and behind the mountain 18. The scenery behind the mountain was better than that in front of the mountain. However, after years of ups and downs, almost no remains have been preserved. In recent years, in order to restore the scenic spots in Houshan, our Huqiu Management Office has invested a lot of money. The Yanghe River that we see now has been restored in recent years. In the Tang Dynasty, a Taoist priest in Qingyuan kept cranes here and wrote a poem "Swimming with Shen Gongzi in the Tiger Hill", which was absurd, but Yan Zhenqing loved him very much. He not only wrote a peace poem, but also wrote a law post. Since then, Yanghejian has attracted people's attention with Yan Zhenqing's poems and Qingyuan Taoist poems.
13. Shuangjing Bridge
Now we are walking on the "Shuangjing Bridge". There are two wells on this bridge. It turns out that these two wells are only used by mountain monks to carry water. However, because Shi, one of the four most beautiful women in China, once took a photo here, and her husband Fu Cha accompanied her to take a photo, these two wells are also called "couple wells" or "Yuanyang wells". Looking at the sword pool from here, you can feel its precipitousness and soul-stirring.
14. Sword test stone
According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period, He Lv, the king of Wu, summoned the most famous swordsmen in the world and cast swords for him. He Lv gave them 300 boys and girls to sacrifice to the furnace to cast swords, and made them promise to cast a peerless sword within 100 days. Seeing that these children were still young, the lieutenant couldn't bear to hurt them, and asked He Lv to let them go and promised to build a sword within 100 days. He Lu said, "As long as you build a sword, I will promise you anything, but if you don't finish it, you and these 300 boys and girls will die." So the general and Mo Xie came to Suzhou, and Suzhou craftsmen built a furnace to cast a sword. Now there is an east-west avenue running through Suzhou, named Jiangjun Road in memory of him. They gathered "the iron essence of five mountains" and "the essence of six rivers" to cast swords here for more than 90 days, but they didn't see blue and yellow, so they raised the temperature and still didn't see yellow, white and smoke, indicating that the impurities were not separated. Mo Xie looked at the withered sword with a sad face, thinking that if the sword could not be refined, the lieutenant and 300 boys and girls would be killed. With this in mind, she plunged into the stove. After a while, the boiler water turned green. Finally, two unique swords were made, one was called "Ganjiang" and the other was called "Mo Xie". But the lieutenant knew very well that He Lv, the prince of Wu, was a tyrant. What he wants is a unique sword. If he survives, he will make a second sword, a third sword and even more swords. Looks like this is running out. On the due day, he came to Tiger Hill with the "Mo Xie" sword and presented it to He Lv. In order to test the sharpness of his sword, he held it against the stone and split it in half. When He Lu wanted to kill the lieutenant, he pulled out the male sword, which suddenly turned into a dragon, and the lieutenant rode the dragon into the sky and became the sword god. This is the legend of the sword test stone. Of course, we all know that no sharp sword can split such a stone in half. In fact, this stone is a typical volcanic eruption tuff, weathered, and formed such a big crack along the crack, just like a sword split.
15. Qianshi
According to legend, after the death of He Lv, the king of Wu, his son Fu Cha buried his father in Tiger Hill. But after the tomb was built, Focha didn't expect so many people to know the location of my father's tomb. If one day they are short of money, they will probably go to rob the tomb together. So he thought of a bad plan. One day, he gathered more than 1000 craftsmen and invited them to drink and watch the crane dance. When they were all drunk, he ordered his officers and men to kill all 1000 people. It is said that the stone was dyed red by their blood in those years, and it was particularly red every rainy day or cloudy day. As soon as the rain washed away, it seemed that blood would flow downwards, telling us this tragic story. Now we can see that this stone is red, of course, it is not the blood of ancient craftsmen, because the rock in Tiger Hill is acid rhyolite, and its stone is originally red. The strangest thing is that there are two rocks protruding from the middle of it. Their four walls are very neat, just like being split with a knife, but this is a natural landscape.

stay
You can choose a hotel; But I think it's better to choose a bath center. The larger bath center in Suzhou has Wang Hailong; Hailongwang is near Guanqian Street, one in 20 yuan, and the overnight fee is 10 yuan, and the private room in 30 yuan is 12 hours.
=====================================================================
I went for two days, and I had plenty of time. Personally, I don't need three days at all
On the first morning, I got off the train and took Line 2 to Suzhou Museum (free of charge) and Humble Administrator's Garden, which is very close to the railway station. At noon, Mrs. Zhou, opposite the museum, had lunch, with an average of 20 yuan per person, and the taste was OK. Visit these two places and walk to the lion forest. You don't need to pay attention to them, because it is only 300 meters at most. Visit the lion forest until 4-5 o'clock. It doesn't matter. The next stop is the famous Guanqian Street in Suzhou, which is equivalent to Nanjing Road in Shanghai. Dinner is also served here, and there are many old brands.
Wang Hailong Bath Center is near here.
The next day, I couldn't seem to write any more. Contact me and send it to you.
