Huang Tingjian, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once wrote a poem "Bitter bamboo shoots in Nanyuan taste better than meat", which is the case in Wuyishan.

In addition, the square bamboo shoots, purple bamboo shoots, swollen bamboo shoots and dwarf bamboo shoots in Wuyi Mountain are also very famous, which are precious and rare bamboo shoots.

Dried bamboo shoots in Wuyishan are deeply loved by people because of their special skills, pure taste and earthy taste. There are three types: pressing, drying and curing. Wuyishan dried bamboo shoots are divided into white dried bamboo shoots and black dried bamboo shoots according to color. Dried bamboo shoots are delicious. Dry white bamboo shoots are full, and one kilogram of dry white bamboo shoots can become seven or eight kilograms after soaking. According to Xinzhi records in Chong 'an County, the "Yulan Tablet" produced in Shangmei Baishui area is a treasure in dried bamboo shoots, about 10 cm long. Made of winter bamboo shoots "Yellow Mud Crown" and "White Meat Bamboo Shoots", it is golden in color and transparent in jade. The "yellow tip" and "show tip" in dried bamboo shoots are also famous. Salted bamboo shoots in dried bamboo shoots are also one of the delicious foods that Wuyishan people relish. The production process is special and salty. As long as you eat it, it will increase your appetite when you mention it, which is a typical local flavor.

Bamboo shoots and dried bamboo shoots are the main export materials of Wuyishan. With the development of canned food industry, canned food with winter bamboo shoots as the main raw material or ingredient has become an important commodity exported by Wuyishan City.
