Why did Harbin choose clove as the city flower?

Clove originated from northeast to southwest China, and there are still many wild species, such as Syringa microphylla, Syringa tomentosa, Syringa fragrans, Syringa oblata and Syringa liaotungensis, which can be transplanted and cultivated.
